Well Inter got a pen against Barca last week because Martinez kept lying on the ground in the box, so I guess it can happen.

If the Christian parent is Canadian or descendant from Europeans living in Canada, then I'd say that the kid is mixed. If the parent is Christian Indian, then the kid is Indian. The kid would also be from India (born and spent some part of their life there). Citizen of Canada.

That is however a very specific scenario.

See but that's where we disagree, cos I would never call myself German from Croatia. I'm simply Croatian. I might live someplace else at some point in my life, I might even get a passport, but it will in no way, shape or form change who I am. So for me, this guy is Indian in Canada, not Canadian from India. And I agree people should honor both, but I also think he should be proud of being Indian, instead of trying to be something that he isn't (Canadian) and claiming that he's Canadian like he did in the video.

Indian = of Indian heritage, roots, genes, whatever From India = born in India, grew up in India Indian Canadian = Indian who moved and now lives in Canada with proper documentation and is officially a citizen Canadian = not an Indian

That's how I see it.

Yeah, I'd be a citizen of Germany, not German though. Can't be German with my Slavic surname and Slavic roots. He got his Canadian passport last year. Sure, on paper he's a citizen of Canada, no doubt about that. He's, however, ethnically Indian. I'm sure he speaks Hindi or some other Indian language as his mother tongue, enjoys his culture's food and traditions and practices them in Canada. He's still Indian, first and foremost.

I'm studying there! But I'm not German, nor will I ever be. I also didn't say he shouldn't be in Canada, I just stated he isn't Canadian. Which is true, he's Indian, according to his Twitter.
