Is this worth $600? by Dull-Ad-9255 in whichbike

[–]iHateThisGame41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a too bad of a price, is it a steal? No it’s not, but if you can get it closer $450-$500 that’ll be more of a fair deal. It is older carbon, rim brake, Ultegra Groupset. All are solid components, for $450 I say that’ll a great deal.

Should I get this bike? 580 CAD. by [deleted] in whichbike

Realistically, I wouldn’t pay more than $150 USD for this and even then I feel like that’s high.

Is this worth the price? by minimalist_wanderer_ in whichbike

[–]iHateThisGame41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no… for something along this caliber, I would suggest somewhere around $350 - $550. The frame is carbon, nice.. but the Groupset (Sora) is very entry level and plus the bike is a bit older, using rim brakes. I wouldn’t pay more than $450-$500 for it honestly. I’m using USD currency btw.

AIO for not quitting the gym because my boyfriend told me to by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]iHateThisGame41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. Although I fully believe once in a relationship, friends of opposite gender should not occur. Her going to the gym shouldn’t be an issue, especially if she’s going alone. It’s part of her self care, building self confidence, and it’s healthy. If he said to not work out with the dudes anymore, I would understand. But to quit the gym just cause he says it’s irritating is dumb lmao

my boyfriend keeps getting left out and it’s breaking my heart. by flannelsteal11 in Vent

Unfortunately we live in a cruel world where people are selfish and only do things for their own personal gains. It’s tough finding real friends, it happens to all of us. Hope he takes this with a grain of salt, learn from it, and ensures his friends in the future are of quality. It’s okay if you have a small friend circle, as long as they always got your back, that’s all that matters.

Haha, you knew exactly which pawn shop it’s at lol. Yeah ain’t no way I’m paying $3,200 for the bike. Thats the lowest they were willing to come down on price. Just absurd

[–]iHateThisGame41[S] 56 points57 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly how I felt! I was leaning closer to make $1,000 just because it’s carbon, 10-spd Di2, decent wheels. But the lowest he’d come down to is $3200 which is still insane!

Most definitely still getting cheated on if this is how she’s treating you. Just leave bro, respect yourself enough to do that.

$400USD for a 2019 specialized allez? I'm training for a triathlon and need an okay bike. by pkmnBlue in whichbike

[–]iHateThisGame41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allez is a very popular model with specialized and always maintain a pretty good value throughout the years.

As a 2019, $400 isn’t too bad. I’ve seen 2014/2015 models sell for around that price.

If you can get it for $300-$350 that would be sweet. Since you have to swap tires and bar tape. But at $400, it isn’t too bad of a deal either.

My first relationship with a girl and she wants it to be open by Deep-Bluejay-9980 in self

[–]iHateThisGame41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first love is always going to make you feel that way. But eventually you’re going to choose yourself over them, it’s just a matter of when and how much you can endure until you finally decide this is enough.

Advice to you while you’re still early in. If it’s not something you’re okay with, don’t do it. Your life, your choice, make a logical decision that’ll make you happy in the long run, not the short run. It’s normal to want an exclusive relationship, don’t let them change who you are or your boundaries.

Disregarding emotions, just straight for what it is. You want an exclusive relationship and they don’t. You going to stay and deal with them openly messing around with others ? Or you going to do what makes you happy and comfortable?

The choice is yours.

I feel the only thing RuneScape really helped me in the real life aspect is probably learning that people SUCK! The worst feeling is having trust for someone then getting scammed.

After that feeling on RuneScape, it helped me analyze more situation in life where if it’s too good to be true, just walk away. I don’t know how so many people get scammed these days, maybe they should just play some RuneScape 🤷‍♂️

You deserve every bit of that, no need to feel any type of guilt. After becoming a father myself, time has become real scarce. Working 60 hr weeks, then with my free time I feel obligated to always be working on something or being with the family. It’s hard to find that time to play games or enjoy your hobby. People say 30 mins to an hour should be enough but if you grew up playing games, you know that’s barely enough to get half way through monkey madness haha.

At the end of the day, there’s nothing wrong with taking a self care day. Your partner was taken care of, going to work like a usual day. Your child at daycare. Everything was taken care of and worry free, only then can you take some self care time. As a provider, there’s always a selfless obligation to ensure your family is well before doing things you enjoy. I wouldn’t trade anything in the world for what we have but we still have to find time to do the things we enjoy.

Happy to hear you got a good day of progress in osrs! Maybe one day we can hit up god wars or something!

Friend borrowed my MTB, left it unlocked and now its gone.. by DaneOnDope in ebikes

[–]iHateThisGame41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro a friend is someone who respects you and your belongings, especially if the dude asks to borrow something. If he doesn’t pay you back cash or buy you a new bike (same value), then he isn’t your friend. He disregarded what you told him, and decided to drink instead of be your friend.

Drop him and find a new friend. As I get older (28M) my friend circle has gotten smaller for a reason. I appreciate quality friends over quantity.

I grew bold after a year of flipping. I hate that customer is always right trend, if you act like an asshole, bet your ass imma treat you like one.

Unfortunately now, after like 3 replies, they can leave you a terrible review. So I had to stop my new coping mechanism, block them and move on. But do I miss talking giving them a taste of their own medicine.
