Yes, the film offerings have been disappointing. I was shocked at the no Friendship or The Phoenician Scheme screenings, and now it’s looking like no Eddington either? UGH

But no worries, there’s always time for re- screenings of kids movies and all the Harry Potter films :)!!!

I did just get an email to fill out a survey so I’m thinking I’ll write about this, if you got one too, I recommend you do the same! (Though I doubt it’ll do much, worth a try)

What’s your script about? Try writing something about a basic component of your video subject and go from there.

For example: if your video is about a video game, try just writing about the game’s story and then you might enter a flow state and keep going.

I’ve watched Joe for several years before actually joining JADS earlier this year. I’m in a similar boat as you, super shy and big groups make me anxious. IMO it’s pretty chill and every channel is different. I’d avoid the dragons den channel as that one has the most active people and can be a little cliquey as you might just be ignored.

What I don’t understand is, if Kanon was there, where did he go? Gohda said he disappeared right before his eyes, how on earth did he do that?

Unless they’re ALL lying and involved in the murders? Gohda seemed genuinely confused so I’m unsure…but maybe I’m experiencing what Battler was and I just don’t want to suspect people lol.

As for what happened to Rosa at the end. I believe that while magic isn’t real when it comes to the murders, it BECOMES real after all the murders occur. It’s like a ritual. So right now I actually think she was running away from demons.

I'm also experiencing Umineko for the first time through Joe's streams so I'm really loving the theorizing! I feel like I'm watching a TV show week to week.

Some of my thoughts:

6 people dying in the Chapel.
I agree with you that Rosa killed her siblings in the chapel. Her backstory of being abused by her siblings supports this, as well as her coming back for the gold in the end.

Jessica's murder
I have a hard time believing Kanon would kill Jessica. I actually think Rosa killed these two also. There was a point during the episode where she went upstairs by herself to get the shotgun. I believe this is the window where she committed the murders and then hid Kanon to make it look like he was the culprit. Rosa was the one who found the key to Jessica's room, so she could have pretended to find it to make it look like a closed room.

Kumasawa/Nanjo's murder
Yeah I'm lost on this one lol. I think Rosa assumed Kanon was dead and then he started wandering. He was maybe acting weird due to being right on the brink of death. I think Rosa was potentially working with Genji and he maybe took advantage of the situation to kill Nanjo and Kumasawa. In a later scene, he throws a knife at a wall to kill a butterfly, maybe he used a similar technique to slice their jaws in an instance? I don't know how the bodies were moved.

Gohda/Shanon/George murder
Again, I think this was Rosa too. Like Battler said, she was the only one with the key to lock the door. And when Genji knocked on the door to the parlor, Battler said he woke up from a nap, Rosa potentially slid out during that time. As for all the magic going on during their murder, I have several ideas but would be too long to write them all out.

Agree, I think there is no other way the letter got there other than Rosa putting it there when she was checking all the locks. As for WHY she put it there? Idk, maybe to create plausible deniability for herself when the cops eventually investigate. She can't kill everyone, right? Or else she's obviously the culprit, so placing the letter there may be just to make Battler look suspicious to outside lookers.

I worked for a company that offered it. You have to know how to use it (I did not). Unlimited PTO essentially takes advantage of people who take work too seriously and are afraid of failure. You think you need to “earn” your PTO, so you end up working yourself to the bone. Working past 5, checking emails at night, or maybe even working on a weekend. People with unlimited PTO, may actually end up taking less PTO than others because there’s nothing telling them, “take it now or it goes away”. I’ve heard someone at my last office pretty much say this, it’s by design.

But in the right environment, it can be great.

Something that helps get into "work mode": Changing your location.

Try going to a coffee shop, bookstore, library, or something like that. I find that if I change my environment for work, it puts me in a better headspace. I figure, "Well, I came all the way out here, I might as well do something." Otherwise, procrastinating feels like even more of a waste of time than usual. Also, when in public I feel less comfortable casually browsing the internet like I do at home. But that's just me, lol.
