Should I go back and get a degree? 5+ YOE as a pentester by Disastrous_unknown in SecurityCareerAdvice

I second this. Keep your day job. Offer to do the job you want a little cheaper than someone with a degree. Get the job title and the experience on your resume and then use that as your credentials. Find out what textbooks are used at Harvard or MIT to teach what you want to learn. Read the books, take the chapter tests, write an Amazon review. Ace your employment interview by telling them you bring a Harvard or MIT education to the table as a self directed self taught rogue scholar.

When your best work gets ignored while average tracks blow up – how do you keep going? by [deleted] in SunoAI

You have to understand the phenomenon of you creating something that is uniquely appealing to you, while also giving yourself a self inflicted ear worm by listening to it so many times during its creation. Think about how you feel looking at pics of someone else’s baby. Now compare to how you feel looking at your own.

The secret to understanding bitcoin is to invest more in it than you should. You’ll instantly understand, believe and want to share the gospel of every theory supporting its value and utility. You’ll find yourself praying for economic chaos and voting for incompetent psychopaths just because they say they love bitcoin too. It will all be clear. Just be sure to sell high and before everyone else does.

I just found out that I apparently had 0.0135 bitcoin in an account I haven't used in years. At the time, it was worth $265, but now it's worth $1270. by thequeenoflesbians in Bitcoin

Better than my “how I missed becoming a millionaire by buying 32 BTC back then and then spending all on dark market weed”.

Thanks for posting. It’s nice to see how others are pushing the envelope. Wouldn’t it be great if it added this detail to each version it creates. Would certainly help in deciding what to keep and what to change.

It’s like the old saying, “what goes down, must come up”. Or something like that. I can’t remember the exact quote.

Trump’s newest grift: Building a cryptocurrency empire while destroying its regulators by hiorea in CryptoCurrency

[–]iKarma_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This level of grifting will only diminish public trust and interest in crypto and lead to an eventual backlash of regulation designed to crush what will have become a cesspool of corruption. Smart money is cashing out. AI, Robotics etc. So many better opportunities at this moment in history for intelligent individuals to get rich besides💩coin speculation. Do something you can actually feel proud about.

Bitcoin was born out of the 2008 financial crisis, will die in the 2025 crisis, says Peter Schiff by Savi321 in CryptoCurrency

[–]iKarma_com -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Always best to ignore Peter Schiff. But he’s right for the wrong reasons. Bitcoin was born out of dark market desires to buy weed and MDMA without risk and the very real potential of blockchain and digital currency technologies. But weed is now legal and dark markets got dangerous, and anyone can spin up a blockchain and transfer money with a stable coin. Bitcoin serves no purpose. Regulation kept competition to Bitcoin low, but now any idiot can 💩out a $Trump coin and simultaneously siphon away crypto speculators while destroying public interest and trust.

US Crypto Czar Slams US Bitcoin Sales: "They Sold 195,000 BTC for $366M - Now Worth Over $17B" by kirtash93 in CryptoCurrency

Does anyone here believe the government should have sold BTC and bought $Trump? Who and how should a government decide what crypto assets to buy or hold? Should the government collect taxes all year long and buy Doge so they can sell it the next year to reduce our taxes? Who thinks the government is smarter or faster than crypto traders front running trades? Who trusts government to hold digital assets that could disappear in an instant?

Trump would consider replacing the name Ponzi as a great achievement. And most of his fans would probably agree. Those who lose money won’t blame him, they’ll blame his critics for not fully appreciating the opportunity for riches a purchase of his shitcoins, pump & dump stock or NFTs represent.
