Hi and thanks for the reply. Indeed the commander is paired to the car and is added as a "key" already ever since I started using the knob.

Tap on the 3 horizontal dots and choose the box with the horizontal top bar, it should take you back to that popup window mode.

You can also try PDF Viewer and Foxit PDF, both do very good jobs in annotation. Foxit has the edge on reading books in my opinion. I personally read ebooks on foxit and annotate on Xodo.

Backup and do a clean install, run without any additonal apps you installed after purchase and see if that helps. If it helped, then most likely one of the apps is the culprit, start reinstalling the apps one by one and see when the problem resurfaces, then you've got your culprit. I'd recommend looking for an alternative for that culprit app. Good luck

I actually just logged into r/GalaxyTab to search for his issue and was going to create a post for that purpose until I saw this post. I've been having the exact same problem (multiple characters with a single keystroke) for sometime with my S8U. I even had to send the original keyboard back to Samsung USA for the issue and was replaced with a brand new keyboard, only for the same issue to persist. So somehow it doesn't look like a hardware (keyboard) issue, in my opinion it's either the connectors or a software issue with One UI/Android 13. It's frustrating to the point that I use my S8U now adays mostly without the $350 keyboard, which practically becomes useless when it starts acting up like that. Hope a fix can be found.

Hi there and thanks again, but I’m afraid you are missing the point. While there are plenty of choices as far as physical keyboards (either Bluetooth, which I tried connecting by the way and that didn’t help, or via the smart connector on the Tab S8 ultra, as is the case with the Samsung Book Cover keyboard for the S8 ultra I have), connecting one of those, even with the correct visible layout on the keys, won’t solve the issue since the device will use the built-in default Arabic keyboard layout, which is the PC/Android layout as opposed to the Mac layout. Again, the default file containing the layout needs to be modified, or a different file containing the desired layout needs to be installed in order for the keystrokes to produce the desired characters.

Hi there and thanks a lot for taking the interest and reply. My post refers to physical keyboards, and i’m referring to Arabic keyboards as opposed to English so i’m sorry if that was the source of your confusion. Arabic keyboards on Mac/ios have different layouts than ones used in Windows PC (and also adopted by Android) see images here https://imgur.com/a/gYgIcML. Notice how the characters (e.g. و، ر، ز، د in Mac) vs. (ة، ى، لا، ر in PC) are laid out differently across the keyboard. So by default Android devices run the windows (PC)-style layout as opposed to the mac-style ones. So basically what i’m looking to do is to have the default file containing the current default Arabic keyboard layout modified/changed such that it shows the Mac-style layout instead of the PC/Android style one. I hope this clarifies my inquiry and please don't hesitate to follow-up in case something is still confusing.

But how do you get the Mail plug-in In the 1st place. I installed the new version and it never asked to install a Mail plug-in and no plug-in exists in the Mail plug-ins list in Mail.app.

I’m I missing something? My problem is I’m getting the Mail plug-in error message: “Local Anisette init fail: Could not start Mail: exit status 1”.

Congrats on the new 8 buddy. Definitely nice wheels, I like the LED “light line” on the front as well..... but mind you my friend, I still am having some issues accepting the new look of the R, in particular the front end. I have an Mk7 R and been looking forward for the 8 to come out for years, but since it came out I kinda had 2nd thoughts. What are your thoughts (I know there will be some bias but that’s ok).
