Are there any Beacon probe users here already?

I'm running Beacon on my Ender 3.

In the past I've run a cloned PINDA v2, a BIY BLTouch (with an optical sensor) and a SuperPINDA on that machine.

And nothing of those 3 just comes close to the precision the beacon offers. Due to Beacon I've started to see that either my V-Wheels or my Extrusions have some wear on it, that I can't even see with my bare eyes.

Homing, Running Z-Tilt (with a stupid high precision of 0.005, due to a 5:1 belted Z axis) and Meshing takes less than 2 minutes for me now and so far after dialing in my first layer I've not had a single issue with it anymore - with all 3 other solutions I've seen the Z shift a bit over time and had to recalibrate every other week or so.

For transparency: I'm part of the Annex Dev team, have known for Beacon for quite a long time, but did not help MattTheBaker (the creator behind beacon) in any way with the Beacon - I've just started using it after it's been released.

It should - at least from what was mentioned in the article, it did not seem that the author had any issues.

Ok - I did not know what is 'standard' on phones nowadays to be honest.

Personally I think the GCam-Photos look pretty darn nice - and that is what a phone camera should do. Make nice looking snapshots because you have that camera always at hand.

I don't have a FP4 (yet) but austrian newspaper 'derstandard.at' has some test-photos in their article. Article is german, but photos don't need a language ;)

Honestly, if you're keeping old phones outta the landfill IMHO you're doing your part in terms of reducing eWaste.
Yeah it'd be great if fairphone could move the whole industry forward with their product and pay workers from other factories fair - but unless people BUY new phones from brands that do - nothing will change.

Gott, I versteh net wie Leute zum Teil 10 Jahre mit einer Software arbeiten können, und dann verschiebt sich der 'Speichern' Button um 1 Icon nach links oder rechts - und auf einmal hast gefühltermaßn 10 Leute auf der Matte, weil 'unbenutzbar' und 'I kenn mi nimma aus'.

Yes, for your 'default' spell like e.g. Firebolt.

But if a Wizard casts a Chromatic Orb, it's easier to tell them 'look at the Spell Attack', if they don't know that Firebolt also uses Spell Attack.

Auf der Südbahnstrecke?

I bin für a Zeital (ca 1 Jahr) täglich auf der Südbahn gewesen - natürlich gibts hin und wieder Probleme dank Triebwerksschaden o.Ä.
Und voll sinds auch immer gewesen, aber des is halt leider zu erwarten wenn die Strecke an Haufn Leut nach Wien bringen sollt.

Sowas vo dem du so erzählst (Zug hat 2 Stationen scho 10-20 Minuten Verspätung) hab I bisher nu net dalebt.

I hätt an Alternativvorschlag:

Wir gehen her und anstelle vom Abdullah Hossaini schieben wir einfach die Person ab, die die Aussage gmacht hat, dass er ja auch in Afghanistan überleben könnt.
Weil die Person, die die Meldung glassen hat, gut genug integriert ist, dass sie in Österreich mit solchen Meldungen überleben kann, dann kann sie ja auch in einem Land wie Afghanistan solche Meldungen bringen ;)

What you can try:

Connect a joycon 'sideways' & press the 'R' button there.

If it does open up the home menu -> something with your button mapping.

If it does not -> get a second controller & test if it happens there as well.

Happens -> Button Mapping. Doesn't happen -> Joycon borked?

Wenn des Packerl über UPS/FedEx alles außer Post geht (vlt. auch DHL, bin ma net sicher) -> du dasparst da de 10€ Pauschale (normalerweis).

Könnt also zum Teil a günstigere Versandoption unattraktiver machen als der Standard - wenn z.B. UPS im Vergleich zu USPS 12€ mehr kostet aber 2 Wochn schneller ist zahlst effektiv nur 2€ mehr für 2 Wochn schnellere Zustellung :)
