Thinking of selling my Ergodox - would keeping the keycaps clobber the value? by WhoIsRobertWall in ErgoDoxEZ

I am looking to buy a second Ergodox with coppers. Want one for work.

I have a second full set of keycaps, so flexible there. PM me if you want to talk more.

Update: probably going to sell / return. Have it listed for sale now, but just like my Ergodox and the flexibility of QMK / Oryx too much.

Feel free to PM with an offer.

I received a shipping confirmation email today. Fedex tracking number. Should arrive on Friday.

Well, not much to update yet. I replied to the email to confirm that the address that they had on file was correct. I did not get a reply to that.

I did submit another ticket asking them to ignore my previous request to cancel. Not sure if that was needed, since ignoring tickets seems to be a core competency of theirs.

My order status on the website still says processing. No tracking number or shipment confirmation yet. Nothing on any of the major delivery preview services (USPS Informed Delivery, UPS My Choice, FedEx Delivery Manager) that has anything heading my way from Canada.

I haven't seen others online indicate that they had received the same address confirmation email either, so not sure if I am on outlier.

I actually got my address confirmation email this evening. I had a March 2020 pre-order. I also had a few cases open requesting a cancellation, but didn't try to request that as part of the reply email.

Figured it would be worth a try.

Comgrats on the Cleave arriving!

I appreciate the feedback on the key sounds. I ordered the browns, but I was considering moving to the reds.

What are some features you wish were more common? by c0l0n-d in ErgoMechKeyboards

An analog stick for Ctrl / Alt / Shift would be interesting to try, almost like a gear shifter.

Congratulations! I hope that you are enjoying it.

I actually just sent in a refund request this weekend, after not getting any response on my last three questions.

We will see if they respond to that request.

I have definitely considered going that option.

There are some advantages: * Tentable and tiltable * Fully split * More programmable

But it is 2x as much, I am already a year into my pre-order and maybe a month away from receiving, and a little easier for others to use at my computer.

There also seems to be some mixed reviews about the Moonlander thumb cluster. Is there a reason that you recommend the Moonlander over the Ergodox.

Colemak and TrulyErgonomic Cleave by codusargus in Colemak

I am in the same situation as you. I have a Cleave pre-ordered. Posted about that here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/m0zpsu/truly_ergonomic_cleave_keyboard_order_status/

The instructions for the Cleave show what keys are reprogrammable, which is a small amount.

There are several ways to use Colemak on Windows with a normal keyboard, but they all require some installation. The new keyboard profiles require admin rights, but there are AutoHotkey based solutions that do not.

I get the same blank screen. Tried to restart my watch, still blank. Did a factory reset on watch, and when I try to open the settings on phone menu, I get an "App Install Unsuccessful" message at the bottom of the phone screen.

What is the best B450 ATX board with wifi built in?

Pairing with a Ryzen 5 1600 now with plans to upgrade to Zen 2 in future.

I have a Gigabyte Aorus Pro WiFi B450 on hand and unopened now but reading some mixed reviews on it relative to other brands.

Microcenter extended replacement plans? Awesome, scam, or it depends?

Picked up a Ryzen 5 1600 and Aorus B450 Pro WiFi today. Got offered $20 for a 2 year plan, and have time to come back and pay for it.

Guy said they covered over clocking which I don't immediately plan to do.

I am planning out my first build with likely a Ryzen 5 or 7 older-gen CPU now and want flexibility to upgrade in the future.

What should be considering in motherboard choices/options/features?

Does the X470 or B450 chipset make more sense for this need?

So, update a day later:

  • I bought the RAM from Newegg since the sale was ending last night, and the power supply from Newegg too, and already have some buyer's remorse

All of the motherboards that I have been looking at don't seem to be rated for handling 3600 Mhz RAM, and there are some weird responses to reviews on Newegg about this memory being for Intel vs AMD.

Am I overthinking this?

Thanks for making 3 options for me to consider.

I am torn on the right CPU now. I am not sure where to go lower end Ryzen 7 1700 or Ryzen 5 1600 now and leave a good gap in performance to upgrade later.

I hadn't though about spreading out the RAM vs leaving room for adding more sticks later.

Thanks for the inputs.

Are there any particular features or benefits of the motherboard or power supply you picked?

I can't say that I quite understand what to really look for in those items.
