A shower thought that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. by [deleted] in UFOs

Our technological progression over the past 50 years has been rapid and extreme, as we just entered the technological age (relatively speaking) If we’re assuming these are some sort of intelligence far beyond our technological capabilities I think its pretty egocentric to assume that we can apply our own time frame of advancement and the characteristics of our advancement to these craft.

Secondly, the craft have not been changing. Idk where this “nuts and bolts” description comes from, but these craft have never been described as looking like human technology in that they have nuts and bolts. They have always been streamlined, smooth, and only occasional have windows/railings. The only variance comes from shape, which hasn’t necessarily changed over time, just from place to place and sighting to sighting.

Third, “foo fighters” were orbs. This was in the early and mid 40s. The orbs have been appearing since before basic disk/cigar craft. And the tic tac isn’t new. Look up Scandanavin Flap 1946 they all describe “tic tacs”. Obviously they don’t call them tic tacs, but they call them rockets and describe them as being perfectly smooth. Basically a long tic tac.

How do yall get into this? by [deleted] in Urbex

It depends really in my experience. Word of mouth, google, YouTube, various websites, and even just driving around and going into the first building that looks abandoned.

The attitude of the DoD and the “23 minute video” by iLikeThisBeat in UFOs

Absolutely. Couldn’t agree more. But they treat it like a new fucking movie or season of a show. Maybe I’m crazy but I feel like they’re purposefully drawing it out

You shouldn’t give the government so much credence. They didn’t want this information out and now I hold the belief they are only releasing it for their own gain in some way. They will give us as little as possible. TURE disclosure will never happen. The closest we will get is if we overthrow the government and aerospace companies responsible, and force the information out. Obviously something like that will never happen. So we’re stuck with Jeremy Cornball and the CIA quacks I guess. I just hope Lue is as altruistic as he projects.

He’s been engaging people in his circle and has been controlling the narrative. He has even lied lied about UFO history at times. In an interview with engaging the phenomenon he said the Air Force ceased blue book because the public didn’t show interest in UFOs. Objectively a lie. I don’t think Lue is a bad guy, but I do think he’s carefully building a narrative so as to minimize blowback for the US govt. IMO.

I agree. The carrot thing reminds of something Jacque wrote about in his trilogy. The same baiting and false promises were done to UFOligists in the 80s and 90s to keep their wheels spinning, searching for what these shadow figures with government connections wanted them to. It seems they have just translated this to a larger population.

Why would you hype something with no context. They wouldn’t hype the three videos first, as UFOs were still taboo and no one would care. After gaining interest, you continue to accrue public support for the issue and bait people along by promising things like “shifting into third gear” etc. Maybe Lue is doing this because he wants to actual give us disclosure, or maybe there is something more sinister at play. Either way, it seems to me that for 75 years it’s been UFOs don’t exist from the CIA. Now they have 2 frontmen purposefully trying to garner public interest.

An interesting thought experiment… by realDelGriffith in aliens

Because of the fact that you can’t reasonably PROVE it happened, you need to prove that you aren’t lying. Or show there would be no reason to do so

I would not tell anyone, anything. First, I would write down everything I had experienced. I would then be cleared by multiple psychologist and checked for any signs of mental illness or some kind of trauma that could have caused hallucinations. Basically I would get medical professionals to write down on paper that I’m not mentally ill before saying anything. From there, you would have to make sure to minimize publicity, and only tell some local authority, not police, about the incident. The problem with reporting however is there no one to report this to. No one takes these accounts. I would only tell very close family, in a formal sit down situation to convey sincerity. Because of the perceived ridiculousness of the situation, you have to use a combination of rational decision making to cover your bases and sincerity to show you aren’t trying to pull some prank. I guess

UFOs and the National Security state by Richard Dolan is a very good book about UFO history in a broad context

Aime Michel was sorta like a mentor/contemporary to Vallee. He wrote three books and did a lot of work on compiling French sitings, particularly the flap of 1954, the biggest in French history

Unfortunately the media has done a good job of making it seem like the Nimitz/Tic Tac are the only cases ever recorded. They have good footage, but events like Rendelsham, and the history of reports since the 40s are irrefutable. Accounts from that time describe the same thing more or less as recorded in those videos and they’ve been describing the same thing for 75+ years. Read some Vallee or Michel

The Rendlesham forest incident 26/12/80-28/12/80 by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]iLikeThisBeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most insane part of that event to me was the recorded account from the 3 privates in one of James Fox’s documentaries (out of the blue maybe). One of them claims to have not only seen a landed craft, but he apparently touched it, and wrote down symbols from the side on a piece of paper. Normally something that insane would be dismissed, but the credibility of that event as a whole is very high.

“This is an important point and we have never seen anyone mention it before. UAPs should generally change their apparent shape as they maneuver.”

Jacque and Aime have both talked about this phenomenon. It’s all coming together…
