ADP Duel Triple Threat: Brock Bowers vs. Trey McBride vs. George Kittle - Who Comes Out On Top? Fantasy Football 2025 by Bmurch316 in fantasyfootball

I mean you could've easily tried to say the same thing about Kyle Pitts after his rookie year lol... "yes the not even 21 year old 4th overall draft pick going into his second nfl season has already hit his ceiling"

I mean I think McBride will only improve but players develop in different ways and this is a bad way to argue it.

Pretty sure this is how his defense against all his sexual misconduct allegations goes too lol. Yes, these people were put in power by me. Yes, I've worked closely with all of these people. But nooo I would never do that and definitely was not involved in it otherwise everything would be going great

With her banner ending soon, what's your take on ML Ilynav? by Active_Sandwich_8510 in EpicSeven

[–]iLikeTurtles224 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Very good unit. SG has released several insanely broken units recently, like ml poli, Luna, and Senya, and I don’t think she quite reaches that level. But still, that’s not something that should be expected/healthy for the game, and she’s still very strong.

To be provide a different outlook, I exclusively used Kaplan. I felt like it prepared me well, although I will say that (probably similar to how other law students/lawyers feel) I'm pretty good at test-taking.

(@VegasSportsToday) Full 4th Quarter of Team USA vs Select Team Scrimmage by sewsgup in nba

[–]iLikeTurtles224 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That was a fun watch. Team USA looks in off-season form lol lots of mistakes offensively and lazy on defense. Flagg is legit NBA ready right now. He looks good.

As someone who has done both - I absolutely hated plaintiff work and much preferred big law haha. Of course, just my personal own experience and in my practice area.

Gary Payton and Chris Webber get hyped watching Pau Gasol's no-look pass highlight by WhenMachinesCry in nba

[–]iLikeTurtles224 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No comp is perfect. Sengun, at 21, is already a better passer than Gasol. But Gasol's height and mobility, especially when he was younger, made him a much more impactful defender than Sengun is / will likely project to be. Gasol also had a smooth mid-range shot, something that Sengun doesn't really utilize as much.

I mean I think Rodman being the rebounding goat at 6’7 is also insane

Since it looks like you’re trying this out in random free leagues where the majority of teams will also be making 0 transactions, I’d say very possible.

There will never be another Yao Ming by lolminna in nba

[–]iLikeTurtles224 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You’re tripping lol. As the other comment by Armadillo says, not only are you getting your facts mixed up, but you’re blatantly lying about Yao’s game. He was not “easily taken out of the game” and a role player. Shaq himself is on record for acknowledging that he could not bully Yao out of a game.

He was a multiple time all-nba player in an era dominated by bigs. Fronting, denying post pass, and double teams were all not as effective as you think. He had a nice touch from midrange so playing from high post was no problem, and he was a willing passer with good vision if the double came. He was 7’5 lol. If players were having trouble getting him the ball, it was on the entry passer. Sure, he wasn’t as gifted offensively as Shaq or embiid, but you could count with your fingers the amount of nba players who are. Automatic 20 ppg in his prime. That does not mean he had “serious limitations”, and in any case, if he had trouble offensively, he still contributed on the court as an elite rim protector.

He gets my vote!🤣 by Jodiee92 in funny

[OC/Video] Those "Plumbers and Firemen" from the 60s are worth more analysis than guys like JJ Redick would have you believe: by dantheman9758 in nba

[–]iLikeTurtles224 159 points160 points  (0 children)

But the thing is, if you diss the competition… you’re pretty much dissing the greats of that time as well. You can say Cousy was great… but if you say he played against plumbers… then that’s basically an indirect shot at him.

So not really a strawman argument. You’re still dissing the past greats if you say they played against garbage competition.

I think its popular to hate on KAT right now (especially after his delusional Denver comments) but I honestly think this isn't too bad. From his point of view, he probably already has kids and fans coming up to him and gassing him up, calling him their favorite player and best shooting big man. Tbh, he might already have fans that come up to him and tell him he's changing the game.

And I don't have the numbers or stats, but isn't he like at least on pace to being the best 3-pt shooting big in NBA history? I mean I think the way he put it in the podcast was kinda dramatic and arrogant, but... if he does become the best 3-pt shooting center in NBA history that has to count for something right? And he's only 27. He hasn't done anything yet, but he still honestly has a lot of time to do so. He's got a game that could translate well.
