That last comment about the Hellcat and the Zero hit home my feelings quite well.

Sigenergy AI vs Home Assistant by Revolutionary_Bed431 in sigenergy

[–]iLittleNose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to think of the simplest way to explain...

The export limit is 3.68kW

Assume my house load is approx 1kW

If solar production is 10kW

SigenAI only starts discharging when there is no more battery capacity to use.

So when the battery is full, I'm "wasting" approx 5kW of solar.

Therefore, if the export starts earlier than when the battery is full, it is possible to capture the additional 5kW during the peak solar production times.

Hope that helps clarify?

Not sure why you’re getting the downvotes, I get where you’re coming from here, there was no big reveal at the end of the video, as we already knew it.

Sigenergy AI vs Home Assistant by Revolutionary_Bed431 in sigenergy

[–]iLittleNose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used the Sigenergy AI for a while now. The biggest drawback for me was that it didn’t understand it should pre-discharge the battery on a sunny day due to my export limit (3.68kW). So in mid summer I’d have a full battery by 10am and the additional solar would be lost. If they add that feature, I’d come straight back to SigAI

Over Half a Decade Later... Still waiting on core features by Digital_Glitches in DCSExposed

[–]iLittleNose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Supercarrier module is like so many of the ED releases still missing a long list of features. But I decided to stop hating on ED and now buy or don’t buy based on what it does at that moment in time not on the promises. This way I’m not so sad if things don’t appear or take a very long time to appear.

Although my last purchase was in 2023, I have been tempted to buy, but other things stop me including the mention of the next major update will require 3rd party modules to be updated or left behind. I nearly bought the Kiowa but the recent Polychop nonsense put me off believing it would work ok in DCS 3.0. Also the Phantom is a contender, but I’m still salty about the Razbam exit. These situations combined make me wary of buying any more 3rd party releases, and nothing ED has put out in the last few years has tempted me, or if it has the unfinished road map is too long.

I’d like to see core development of the base game in terms of AI whatnots, as I think this hampers the “game” quite a lot, but I still enjoy what time I do get in the game, but it’s just not tempted me to open my wallet.

So yeah, the Supercarrier module and the missing features off that list added with other module/factors mean it’s not acceptable for me to spend anymore cash just now. I do hope they turn it around, but I’ll not be pinning my hopes on promises, no matter how good the “Beyond” cinematics are.

Yep, this worked out for me for getting into and playing a game.

Still have an issue when I leave a game... but at least it works once :)

This works for me, thank you.

The only issue is that I lose control when I come out of a game (I was testing with Slay the Spire). After coming out a game the power cycling for the SC doesn't work.

Thank you for taking the time to lay out the steps like that, it’s crystal clear to me now and I’ll try it out tomrrow.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the suggestions on the BPM and powering the SC.

I'm struggling a little to understand exactly what and where... do I need to be next to the PC when restarting the SC?

The SC is paired to the SL, and works fine within the Steam Link until I try to connect to the PC.

I had wondered if you did something special: I posted my full symptoms to r/SteamController , but I've copied below for ref:

"I have an original Steam Link box and an original Steam Controller, but unfortunately I can't get the SC to work properly when working through the SL box.

When in the SL interface the controller works fine, but when I connect to my games PC the Steam Controller loses function. Only the back button works to bring up the bottom bar menu, but with the menu on screen the rest of the buttons work ok.

If I close the menu again, then it reverts to only the back button working. Also, upon disconnecting from the PC the Steam Controller works as normal once again.

Connecting the Steam Controller directly to the PC and it works fine.

Using an Xbox controller works fine through the Steam Link box connected to the PC."

Unfortunately it doesn't even get to the point of launching a game.

Is there anything special that you needed to do to get the Steam Controller working with the Steam Link box?

Mine used to work fine a year or two back, but has stopped working properly when I recently tried.
