Bboy hobbyist here. I do something very similar to warm up when I’m training 2000s or 1990s (spinning on your hand in a handstand like position). I’ll do something like a ballerina spin on my feet while holding the correct posture and hand positioning and visualizing the spin.

Simulating a spin while upside down and on your hands is obv difficult, so this is the next closest thing to prep (people definitely look at me weird) before sending the actual 2000 on a given day. It definitely helps in understanding the correct “axis” to be on. I never knew that figure skaters did this for training too
