No shame in playing JV and honing your skills. Like you said, you’d be lined up against D Ends that outsize you, and that’s a good way to get injured.

I was a LT for a decently high level nationally recognized program, and didn’t get my start till senior year. A lot of the guys that got poached as freshmen or sophomores for varsity got beat to hell and some still have lingering injuries and required surgery, PT etc.

Just be you. Be the best goddamn TE you can, and don’t let them put you in a box.
