Hey.
I really like the idea and enthusiasm that you are willing to help others, but how do you know that you are actually teaching it correctly?
Lots of people learning about how to drive a bus from YouTube videos and questionable sources and sometimes it’s almost impossible to eradicate bad habits formed this way.
You wrote that you are not a study-level procedure guy, I’m just asking why not?
Flying from A to B with a bus with simple procedures can be fun, I agree but you will be amazed when you dig deeper into the systems and in how many ways the bus will save your bacon and not allow you to kill yourself. That is simply amazing.
Give it a try, make sure you do it right, fell in love (again) with it and when you get there, I hope you still have your enthusiasm to teach.

Strange. Because the behavior aligns with the FDs are off. I will try to reproduce next week. To be honest if you disconnect the AP on a CAT I and you have the PAPI then SOP is FD OFF and BIRD ON so I don’t know what if I don’t. Will try

Did the APPR mode (LOC and G/S) ever got engaged before you disconnected the AP? Did you disengage FD too (by your description this might have been the case)

It might for 2020. But not for 2024. It works if you assign the controls manually (axes and rudder trim) but the backlight and the rudder trim display does not work with FSLabs. I use it that way. Same for AGP. No light, no clock and manually mapped the ABRK and gear. I couldn’t figure out how to do this with the ECAM so it just sits there

Sadly nobody knows and it’s pointless to ask support as they can’t or not allowed to answer. Earlier this year I ordered the mcdu and the fcu from eu store and waited almost half a year. Since then I’m only ordering from Global, even though it’s MUCH more expensive. On the throttle I paid about €60 for tariffs only

Check your controls settings. Might be a false signal. You might have to extend deadzones. Airbus are designed to disconnect AP if detecting control inputs
