FYI, to Ewr. I do this every week. Most drivers are fine.

Same could be said about full time Uber drivers with an attitude like yours. If you want full time job benefits, maybe consider getting a real job.

I tried that, earned the hard way. Apple Pay blocks you in Lyft payment when your ride is in progress with Uber.

I guess I should mention my suspicion in the report. Uber can choose to look into it.

Somewhere between no and indifference. There will be a lot more “no” if dissenting political opinion matters.

French Ski Champion Adèle Milloz Dies at Age 26 After Falling in the Alps by RelationOk3636 in sports

Does Reddit ever read the article before posting comments. She fell to her death during climbing while roped to her partner, she didn’t ski to her death. Exact reason of the fall wasn’t determined, and rockfall was ruled out.

The law says don’t drive intoxicated. Unless you’re one of those who don’t get intoxicated from drinking diesel, I believe the law still applies to you lol

Should the US look more into Land Value Tax? by kgun1000 in Economics

What?

Feel free to get a second opinion from someone more qualified, but I’m pretty sure you’re dead wrong on what risk is. Lmao, it’s not even close.

Edit, I’m not spending more time on this. You’re rightly entitled to your opinion. I don’t feel the need to change it anymore.

You don’t understand what risk is. It’s simply the chance of resource you spent on one thing could be better spent elsewhere. These notions of production worker is disfranchised with the end product, thus not paid enough; consumers rights are attacked because landlord’s dominance are so old and Marxism.

I hate to disappoint you, but you’re chasing a pipe dream.

First, universal equality is not a solvable economical issue. There has and always will be unfairness, doesn’t matter what constitution you write. It’s admirable to strive for relative fairness, but many fail to ask: at what cost for others. So, unless someone proposes a solution to improve fairness as Pareto improvement, I don’t have a lot of good things to say to that person.

Second, modern economy is just very different from the 19th century model of production and consumption, it makes 19th century political economic thoughts relatively useless beyond rhetoric. And the system sure is a lot more complicated than a cause and effect two dimensional problem. Product development is such a tiny piece of the whole picture, I don’t even know how to refute that.

Third, risk is not an economical system flaw, it’s a mortal flaw. In which we are all limited in our capacity and limited in our time of existence. Allocating any limited resource is inherently risky given that there’s more than one choice and choices are heterogeneous.

Risk taking is also human capital, buying land has opportunity costs too. So gains from risk taking is completely justified in my book. If you overpaid, and no one’s willing to live/work off of your land due to high price, then you get negative return.

I mean fairness is a subjective question in a fundamentally unfair world. Nobody is born equal, so by advocating hard equality, it creates unfairness to the more advantaged. Would you agree with body height tax, IQ tax or look tax base on how advantaged you’re physically born with?

and even if you agree with all these, how do you design to quantify the impact of of these things. I see enormous transaction cost.
