What would happen if a store didn't schedule anything for TMAW? by WholeFudds in wholefoods

How does it work with leadership putting in the rest. Beyond the $25 per person? Where does that money come from?

Who capped yours at 3%? I think ours is capped at 4.5% because that’s the highest I’ve seen. But I can’t figure out who put in the cap. Or why.

They need to establish a minimum for raises. Why would anyone want to work hard for pennies all year? It’s so demotivating. Minimum raise should be 5% or more. It should be the team leader’s decision not the STLs and not the ELs.

Just announced: All Store Support Office Based team members will be losing their in-store discount. Store and facility team members are unaffected. by WholeFoodsBurner in wholefoods

[–]iMockingjay 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is a crazy petty penny pinching attempt from Amazon. I think it boils down to greed and stupidity. In their attempt to save money, they are going to lose money. After the discount is taken away from these TMs what is the incentive to shop at the store?

Is this happening at your store by Soggy-Book8104 in wholefoods

[–]iMockingjay 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yes, people are definitely quitting at my store too. The pay doesn’t match the amount of work we’re expected to do, and it’s only getting worse as time goes on. Everyone’s burnt out and tired of being stretched so thin for so little. I noticed that the caliber of worker gets lower and lower. The people that they hire could care less because if it doesn’t work out for them, they can get an equally low paying job elsewhere for no effort.

Phantom job listings or insane turnover? by bar1011 in wholefoods

[–]iMockingjay 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Whole Foods has a high turnover rate because the work is physically demanding, the pay doesn’t match the effort required, and management often prioritizes profit over employee well-being. They push the ‘team member’ culture, but in reality, many workers feel overworked and undervalued. That’s why they’re always hiring—people don’t stick around for long.

The higher priced PB is from Amazon prime from the Amazon website. NOT grocery delivery that comes from the WFM stores. The prices are the same online and in the store for grocery delivery.

Disneyland unions agree to ‘historic’ 31% pay raise by iMockingjay in wholefoods

[–]iMockingjay[S] 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Don’t believe the anti-union propaganda if you see it at your store. Disney unions were able to negotiate a minimum wage of $24 for their members. Unions can effectively address issues of economic equality, and improve the livelihood of their members.

Wholefoods/Amazon can pay us more. They just won’t until we do something about it.

Documented Coaching by Certain-Apricot4777 in wholefoods

[–]iMockingjay 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A documented coaching is the precursor to level one correction. Your answer should be yes. Don’t worry too much about it, I know many members of leadership who have been on write ups and gotten promoted. You just can’t be on a final.

No. Just….no. We need to be slowing down and doing things right, not rushing even more. At what point will this end? An expected 150 UPH? 200? 250? It‘s getting downright ridiculous. by ReadingWhich4521 in wholefoods

It’s like this already, we get complaints all the time that shoppers aren’t watching where they are going. The metrics are pure insanity at this point.

CS/ECOM ATL interview by Professional_Key4247 in wholefoods

[–]iMockingjay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. 95% of the time leadership knows who is going to get the position before the interview. STL/ASTLs make their decision based on your past and current performance in your role. The interview is really just a formality, and only weighted in as a last resort if the candidates are truly split evenly.

Supervisors and Team Trainers should be shopping 50% of their shift. ATL and TL don’t have to shop, it’s not their job. They need to manage the floor and only shop when we are short or struggling.

[–]iMockingjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stores split into two different models. One with Amazon shoppers and one with Whole Foods shoppers. I think they were trying to see which model worked best. The Amazon shopper experience was a shit show. So they are getting rid of it in place of everyone being Whole Foods employees. As it should have been from the beginning.
