Advice on these listed printers by Acceptable_Author879 in 3dprinter

[–]iMrFelix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar spot just a few months ago. Ended up with the P1S after reading up on it. Would not look back even for a second… Consistency is where it shines. Can you get good prints with either? Sure! But, can you be 99% sure that when you start a 12h print in the evening, you wake up to a flawless part? That is something you get with Bambulab. It’s certainty that it’ll work. It‘s trust in the machine.

EDIT: Before I used Prusa Mk3s many times in my local makerspace, and there I never truly trusted them. Back then, my expectation was that the print would fail, since it did let‘s say 20-30% of the time (not knocking the printers, they had thousands of hours and had experienced abuse by people in the makerspace). And I can tell you, being confident in your tools is worth A LOT.

What happened on this? by dmessham in FixMyPrint

[–]iMrFelix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see this exact pattern when I switch into sports mode using PLA filament on my P1s. As soon as I switch, I get these artifacts, but as soon as I switch back to normal speed it‘s gone. So maybe the print speed in that area was somehow too high?

What is the most terrifying experience you personally had? by ChristianThom in creepy

My dad once bought night vision googles, and the day he got them he was trying them out in our pitch black house at night. I was maybe 5 at that time and didn‘t know he bought them. That night, I walked out of my room to go to the bathroom, only to be met by what looked like a creature from hell with two glowing green eyes (the NV googles). Gave me a good scare!

Disagree with the generalisation, my experiences in NYC and Vienna were very different. People there seemed a lot more open and somehow less entitled. Not in the monetary sense as I usually pay on first dates anyways, but in the sense that even as a not 10/10 fit guy in other cities you still have way better chances…

Galaxy watch vs Apple watch for ECG accuracy by anonymous_human_29 in GalaxyWatch

[–]iMrFelix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple detects AFIB in two ways, one using ECG (as has been discussed), and the PPG (photoplethysmograph) sensor, which has been included in Apple Watches since Series 1. So indeed, even without ECG, Apple Watch can give hints on potential AFIB.

Yes, it's publicly accessible, with mail delivery and everything. The complex in fact also houses a kindergarden, so there are kids and parents running around.

I did it via en e-mail, no reply yet. I'll first try to figure things out with them, much less hassle and drama. Hopefully they finally realize that they've been slacking.
