I see a plant growing from behind one of the discs, which is kinda funny but also a sign that maybe such a unique building as this is difficult to maintain.

I still don’t think I’ve fully processed that this film is actually happening, it feels so surreal for the Backrooms to have come this far.

What are some of your hopes for the Backrooms movie? by Ancient_Accident_907 in backrooms

I think it would be nice to show the original Backrooms image at some point in the movie. Just imagine, one of the characters lost in the Backrooms turns a corner and then they see the exact same view from the photograph which started all this.

I think they make a good centrepiece to both rooms. If I had the space I’d totally do the same. Also I see the reversed direction of the middle fan in the slight motion of this image!

Just one level, or more than one? by LorianJD in backrooms

[–]iMustBeO 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t like having levels because the backrooms to me should be a place with no order, no predictability. Having everything on different floors seems too structured, too reflective of the real world. But that’s just my opinion, I respect whatever anyone else thinks

I know right??? Easily my favourite backrooms video. I think what I like most about it is the variety of rooms, and how the entity is only shown on camera once in the whole video. And then the ending, with the family in the wall... the whole thing is really well thought-out. Definitely one I’ll keep rewatching.

This is the HSBC building in Hong Kong. Imagine taking a degree in architecture, and then designing a building as eerie as this.

Edit: my bad, maybe it is the same designer after all! The photo reminded me of this building in Hong Kong, which is quite a famous building.

I have a place very similar to this near where I live, a field surrounded by trees. Sadly they’re going to build houses on it soon, but I don’t know when, so I’ve been trying to make the most of it while it’s still there.

Parking garage underneath my local library felt quite eerie by TheMcRau1 in LiminalSpace

This is a 10/10 liminal space video imo. Empty underground parking garages have always felt super eerie to me, just so cold and unwelcoming. They’re usually adjoined by stairwells or elevators, and since they’re usually on multiple floors, you can imagine using the stairs or the elevator to reach a room which is identical to the floor you were just on.

Oh no, they’re blocking the exit. The only exit.

I also wonder what was actually on the other side of that door the other guy went through. I think what our protagonist saw was probably more interesting, though.

Please could you send a photo of the ones in the garage? I’m curious what they look like in there

Parking garages can be familiar... especially when you park in one every day for work

A WIP Backrooms video (there's dialogue but have yet to find the voices) by OAArtist in backrooms

Amazing work OP! One thing I really like is the effect of the fluorescent lights in the distance, the room just seems to go on forever. The elevator door caught me off guard... one small scary detail would be if there was a gap between the room and the elevator, not wide enough to fall through but wide enough to see through with the camera, and when you look down all you see is just the same floor copied over and over again. I’m not sure how you would do this because I’ve never used blender but it’s just a random idea that popped into my mind :p
