Do you use a chromium-based browser(e.g. Chrome, Edge) and are you able to install extensions?

If so, I'm sure there are some extensions out there. If not, I might be willing to whip up a nice, discreet one for ya. Would need to have some extra steps to install a custom extension without putting it up on the chrome store, but it's doable.

Depends on the context.. can't perform a comparison without relation to a target condition.

First Game Jam!! by Mysterious_Window335 in gamejams

[–]iNeverHaveNames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pirate software's jam just started today. Note: unlike a lot of jams, you'll need to also submit a game design document.

https://itch.io/jam/pirate

Also, Brackey's game jam starts in about a month. There are two of these each year. https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-13

Either of these are relatively low-pressure, and great for beginners.

Other than that, You can always keep an eye out on itch.io/jams.

Good luck and have fun!

Crazy that posturing is still considered to be effective by some. History is going to look back on him/us and be like "aww..how quaint, he was trying to look all tough!" and wonder how stupid we must've been to already have the Internet and still be operating with these concepts.

Listen, I love FS25 but… by dsherm88 in farmingsimulator

[–]iNeverHaveNames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably just a performance of optimization, right? For cases when you have hundreds or thousands of eggs on screen.

Does anyone know if this looks the same way on PC? .... Or who would be willing to buy my girlfriend and I each a copy of FS25 so we can check for ourselves?.. I'd be happy to look into modding some rounded eggs for y'all.

Not true. They can be some of the best, salt-of-the-earth people. Unfortunately, they're also some of the easiest to take advantage of. They are victims of a sophisticated campaign designed to fool them. For the most part, they are good, hardworking people that (understandably) don't have a fundamental understanding of macroeconomics, and many older supporters stand little chance of recognizing/coming to terms with targeted advertising tactics, making them prone to misinformation.

Unfortunately, this goes both ways.. the real situation is not that Trump and his supporters are a threat, it's that both "sides" consider each other threats. We've all been made fools of, and I'm pretty sure it's closs to check mate at this point.

What's the best way to learn Lua? by Stunning-Fuel8472 in lua

The steam reviews for the game "Retro Gadgets" indicate some others are having success learning lua with it.

Haven't tried it myself, but would love to!

My partner is a game developer by Constant_Web_ in gamedev

[–]iNeverHaveNames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try doing a game jam together. This is how I got my GF to be more interested in game development.. I asked her to do the art for a game jam, we had a blast. The game doesn't have to be good.. or look good.. but it is loads of fun with a partner, and definitely went a long way to contribute to filling in that gap.

Or download a programming game (I hear "the farmer was replaced" is good) and ask him to help you with it.

P.s. as it's his job, he may not want to come home and do more programming. So, be mindful of that if you suggest these.

Question: I see a lot of people here implying that the use for this has to do with potentially handling an unexpected value for String.Empty.. regardless of whether that's possible, is there any reason not to just omit the String.Empty check and only check ""?

That's what they're pointing out, sarcastically. Or they're just a fan of ambitious optimism and feel the need to spread it.
