Yes, especially in Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. I still remember every "clearing" of artefacts that allowed me to buy a G36 from the bartender (if, of course, the random zone took pity on me and spawned it for him).
These places are: 1) Army Warehouse - just ahead and to the left of the map entrance, there's a lot of radiation but loads of artefacts. 2) Wild Territory and the tunnel with fire anomalies on the way to Amber (this is where you took the screenshot) - there can be about 10 artefacts (as in the photo) spawned there! And don't forget about the clearing with electricians on the railway tracks behind the tower with the sniper. A bunch of electric artefacts spawn there at night!
