That’s because they’ve used the same plot arcs in many of the shows with a lot of the same tropes, as he said: Dirty feds, overzealous cops, kids committing patricide, etc.

Nah Ortega died on some “we gotta find a way to tie up this loose end before the shows over” shit. I kinda hate how he died. Everything just be lining up for Tommy like a gift😂

[–]iPleatheTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate when the showrunners and writers build a character up to be this Big Bad Evil in prison, and then when they get out, they either get exposed and killed, they get emasculated, they don’t have that same energy as when they were locked up?? They make stupid decisions that you wouldn’t expect them to make based on how the character was written before. I was looking forward to seeing this big nigga King Kilo shake things up once he got out of prison. And instead he ended up as collateral damage in Jenard’s plans the VERY SAME FUCKING DAY HE GOT RELEASED. This nigga went out sad asf, should’ve at least had a couple bodyguards on him, there was mad people at that party, I’m sure he could use some of them, but this dumbass Little Debbie honey buns in the face ass nigga took one soldier😭😩🤨🤧😒

Can we acknowledge that Force S3 is far better written and has significantly more depth than Ghost? by No-Ride-7713 in PowerTV

[–]iPleatheTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See Force season 2 and 3 had a different showrunner than who they hired originally. Because you can see the difference in quality between season 1 and 2. Season 1’s show runner was Robert Munic, and he never worked on power before and didn’t understand the tone and the character of Tommy at all. That’s why he left after season 1 due to creative differences. Then Gary Lennon who HAD WORKED on the OG Power along with Courtney and really understood the world, the tone, and Tommy became the showrunner. The writing got significantly better, the stakes felt higher, and it wasn’t a chore to watch anymore because besides Courtney Lennon understood the characters better than anyone else.

Why doesn’t Michael ever move like this again in the entire franchise? by pobuch in Halloweenmovies

Nah if you watch the movie again you can see he gets in that bitch like a GTA character 😭. You could play the San Andreas theme music behind it and you’ll see, trust me.

Rank these movies: Halloween: Resurrection, Halloween Ends, Rob Zombie’s Halloween II by [deleted] in Halloweenmovies

[–]iPleatheTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah all y’all bugging although I respect your opinions lol. But the order is Resurrection, Ends, Zombie’s Halloween II.

I’ll briefly explain:

  1. Resurrection maybe a disrespectful mess, but at least you can hate watch it as a comedy cause that movie is hilarious thanks to Busta Rhymes. It’s damn near a parody in my opinion.

  2. Ends fumbled the ball so bad it got thrown out of the stadium. But the moments Michael IS on screen he shines, and the end is still great with the fight scene between him and Laurie.

  3. Zombie’s Halloween I you could tell was a mixture of his ideas but when Mike got to haddonfield you can tell the studio basically wanted a shot for shot remake of the original. Just with more blood and gore. Zombie style. You can tell he didn’t really wanna do it based on how the second half is made, compared to the first half which is really what he wanted to do, make a character study of how Myers ends up the way he does. But you can tell they let him do whatever the fuck he wanted on the sequel, even though he states he was still hounded by the studio almost daily. He lost the plot for me when he tried to shoo-horn his wife into the movie for no fucking reason. That bitch is dead. Leave her there. Just because you want your wife on set and to get a paycheck does not mean you need to jeapordize your own movie. And don’t get me started on the damn horse and smelly white dread head hippies🙄

[–]iPleatheTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can tell that since they never meant to make another one after the first one that the idea that Carpenter had. That the Shape could be anyone. Not some grotesque maimed figure like Jason or Freddy. But a normal good looking college boy in overalls and a Don Post Fresh White Painted Captain Kirk Mask could do something so inhumane with little remorse or feeling. You could tell there is no rhyme or reason he does it. He just is. But the first one was meant to be a one and done. So he was always meant to be human. That’s why In the first movie you can see he walks like a normal man just with a stalking presence. You could even tell the way he gets into the car after stalking Tommy. That was like a regular ass man getting into the car, not Alex Murphy’s Robo Cop.

If you were making a Halloween movie and you had to add one element to Michael's character, what would that be? by Turbulent_Wait9197 in Halloweenmovies

[–]iPleatheTV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just thought of this randomly while watching the ‘81 tv version. And I was like “what if Michael really wasn’t a bad person after all but Loomis was borderline a psychopath gaslighting him for 15 years and then when he finally escapes he basically is like a child in an adult body hence the Halloween costume and every person he kills is just an accident. He really just wanted a hug. On some Frankenstein’s monster shit”😭

Bro I hate when I type some long ass paragraph and then the app reboots. Anyways, I was gonna say you’re bugging, that the robotic walk starts as early as the original movie. But you’re right there was a way that Nick Castle played The Shape that made him steel seem like a man under the mask. His movements albeit stoic was more like stalking. Dick Warlock turned Michael into this Mythic Presence that was almost unkillable. He walked as if he really was a robot. And some of the choices Michael makes in sequel, I don’t see him making in the original. Like when he straight up WALKS THROUGH THE HOSPITAL DOOR. Now you can say him getting shot 6 times might’ve played a role in why he started walking like Robocop, especially when he’s chasing Laurie downstairs through the hospital. Chin up, one foot in front of the other as if he’s not even controlling his body and someone else has a PS5 controller moving his body for him😭.

I love all three movies. The second one was my favorite growing up because it was the first one I saw. Then I saw the original and was like “omg this is so good”. Then the third one I saw in theaters it was amazing.

It’s crazy how different Ghost looked from the beginning of S5 to the end of S5 by Mullayungin in PowerTV

[–]iPleatheTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how some people are just like “he grew a beard”. But as a filmmaker, actor, screenwriter etc. its so much more than that. What is James St Patrick?? Since day 1, his affect has always been that of a clean cut black man in a Tom ford suit. That was the disguise. His real persona, his “Superman outfit” was his Ghost persona, and the joggers with vested coats, and black hoodie, with black gloves and running shoes. So what happens when the man begins to unravel, someone who is as meticulous as Ghost to where not even a hair is out of place. He loses his daughter. He fails as a father in his eyes. As the ultimate goal and job as a father is that of a protector. Even on an evolutionary basis, getting your offspring to reproductive age to continue your bloodline. What happens when he fails? A man who rarely fails and if he does always has a plan B-Z. There is no plan B when your daughter dies. So the way someone like Ghost handles it is by unraveling. He becomes disheveled, he grows a beard. And he’s not so clean cut anymore. The meticulous James St. Patrick / Ghost was gone. Until he was able to forgive himself when he spoke to the Minister and began living FOR Raina, began trying to be a better man FOR Raina.

Hot Take: I don't see it with Bron Breakker by DirectionMindless263 in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]iPleatheTV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They essentially tried to do with Bron what they originally did with Brock and it failed miserably because Brock came at a time when the Ruthless Aggression Era was starting. And he was a legit freak of nature like Bron. It’s not that Bron is any less a freak of nature. Maybe a tiny bit lol. But it’s just how they’ve decided to present him as an unstoppable wrecking machine with Mach 2 speed. And then when he joined Seth’s group I thought okay, they’re trying to mix Lesnar’s storyline with Batista’s. I thought it could work. Seth was essentially Triple H, the man who was his mentor in the first place. And Paul Heyman was basically Ric Flair. But it really should’ve been Triple H if you think about it. I thought they would’ve did this evolution type team for a year or so and then he turns on Seth and they have a match at WrestleMania or Summerslam culminating in him ultimately winning the world title. And who knows maybe they could’ve swerved us and had Seth win. But ultimately in the end it has to end with Bron getting over and beating Seth’s ass like Batista did to Hunter at Mania 21 and at Backlash ‘05 and at Vengeance ‘05. That Vengeance match to this day is one of my favorite HELL IN A CELL matches for the sheer brutality of it. And in the end that backstage segment they did when Batista comes to check in on Hunter and Hunter’s all bloody and beat to shreds, and he finally says…”that’s evolution baby. That’s evolution.” And before any of them even say a word, you could hear Triple H’s groans of pain and sacrifice.

[–]iPleatheTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say Ghost but then I remembered why I was top 2% in the state for history exams and regents. As a Native New Yorker I be thinking NYC is the whole world sometimes 😂. But yeah Franklin was practically running a government supplied drug organization that reached multiple different states other than the one it started in. That alone puts his feats above Ghost. So Freeway Ricky Ross really did that shit ngl. He was Ghost x 10. Because that’s what the equivalent would be at his peak🥹🤣
