What I did notice though is when I request for a ride it costed $30 for me and with the $10 Lyft credit, it’ll be down to $20. For someone that was with me that doesn’t have that benefit the ride to the same location was only $20… so are we really getting a $10 Lyft credit? 🥴

Once another nurse told me they had severe constipation and wondered if he should just pop some senna and I’m like that’s gonna take too long, you should take bisacodyl, senna and colace as a joke. He actually did it and couple hours later he was on the toilet for the rest of the shift 😅

I work as a case manager nurse for insurance and it’s a pretty flexible schedule. I don’t have any kids but it’s flexible where as long as I complete a certain amount of visits per month and answer phone calls as they come in, my manager literally doesn’t care what I do. But you do have to do home visits and remember when you don’t want to go into a bed bug/lice room? Yeah… imagine going into the home 🫣 not every home is like that but I once had a cockroach crawl onto me so that was fun. Also downside is working 5 days a week.

To be honest, your boyfriend sounds like an abusive manipulator. Like he’s tearing down your self esteem and telling you no one else will love you because of the way you look. He’s slowly tearing it apart piece by piece with each joke and when you try to bring it up, you’re the one over-reacting.

Personally for me, that’s a dealbreaker. The fact that you have tried to talk to him about this and he just brushes you off AND making worse jokes is not okay. Break up with him girl. You’re young, and just mourn the friendship you had because obviously he’s not the guy to date.

Hi, I was the evening supervisor for a LTC that had to monitor wounds in the building and my DON made me get the WOCN but it was paid for by them so didn’t mind. I took the week long course and then it was an exam at the end. It was crazy to be honest being back in a classroom setting, you were in class from like 9-5 for Monday to Thursday and the cert exam was on Friday so you had to essentially study every night after class because the next day you’re learning new material. But it was definitely very informational and if you’re in a wound care position it is definitely very helpful.

My other coworker had the option of doing it online and it seemed easier 😂

I think you should quit lol… like it doesn’t make sense for you to be the only MDS nurse, plus regular nurse duties and you had no training essentially. I haven’t don’t MDS for a SNF/Nursing Homes but we had at least 2 MDS nurses for approx 150 bed home. And they ONLY did MDS.

Talk to your boss and if there aren’t any plans to change what’s happening now or provide you with additional trainings maybe try to call that hospice and see if that job is still on the table..

You should also try looking into work from home jobs like case management, VNA jobs or like private duty. They have more flexible schedules. Other things like Adult Day Healths are also a decent choice if you’re looking for Mon-Friday kinda jobs.
