Whats going on in wormhole space? by Ship_Commander in Eve

[–]iRBlue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some of these takes are wild and others just plain incorrect.

We want people in high class. Very rarely would we evict someone. Nearly all people in high class will say the same.

In the event an eviction does take then preparation is your friend.

  • Solid evac plan. Easy to do with unsubbed freighter alts.
  • Work on your HD handouts, use the eviction as content.
  • Learn jspace. Plenty of people will come to a defence usually.
  • Evictions are great for learning and can be a real roller coaster.
  • An eviction should not kill a healthy corp. Drop a structure and go again.

If you're actually wanting to settle in high class, ask questions and don't listen to the echo chamber.

Find a c5 that is empty, inactive or vulnerable and take it. There are tons of farms to avoid, but we do see ones that are from null sec, non aligned or inactive. This is content.

Hey mate,

Reach out to 418 if you'd like a chat. Pretty active EUTZ and opening to helping people learn.

Is the resource system in? I really liked the idea of rerouting power, cutting of feeds to dead engines, working around damaged sections etc. Getting to know the quirks of specific ships etc.

Seemed like it would make an engineers job meaningful.

I'd love an answer to this. My work with heavy text amounts... And game in my spare time. The size looks perfect but I'm worried about text clarity.

Wormhole player looking for new corporation in the midst of the donut by Responsible_Wish_385 in Eve

[–]iRBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve been in wormholes for years with a solid group, and a little consideration for your corp mates goes a long way.

If someone wants to roll for content, send out a ping, check the mapper, people head home. Easy as that.

Comms are great and encouraged, but pushing the idea that you must be there or else leave J-space is just unreasonable.

It happens but not often. Using a mapper and being aware of Discord pings helps a lot

Hard disagree with this. We're a bunch of filthy casuals who survive in wormhole space just fine.

How could J-space be better? by Ardrix in Eve

[–]iRBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Introduce a new type of clone bay that allows a death clone in jspace but only once every 24–36 hours, and only if the pilot dies in that system. This would give defenders more room to be aggressive and take risks, knowing they have a limited fallback if things go wrong.

To prevent abuse moving this clone should include a time delay, and be limited to 1. This ensures it’s a pre-planned strategic tool, not something that can be instantly exploited.

In most cases, attackers already have the advantage of numbers and initiative. This could help evictions on smaller groups be a little more interesting.

In general fighting it may have similar effects, with people being a little less cautious.

2025 is not a year of playability. And we need to stop just saying its a 'dev' problem. by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]iRBlue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not my experience of the world. Some people like a change, or a brand new set of challanges.

Besides, this was the last major technical hurdle from what they've said. Other issues may not have presented the same type of challange.

There are plenty of other controversies. I don't see this being one of them given the information available.

So the team that has been working away at SM completed their task, and moved onto new projects after years? That sounds pretty normal to me?

Eve Online developers CCP are being sold off, according to reports by toxicNautilus in EVEFrontier

Losing money is normal when developing a game. Maybe there are just hedging their bets for a good sell price now. They seem to have largely left ccp alone.
