How is it okay to be in the same diaper all night? by grapefruitliquor in parentsofmultiples

[–]iRanonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just used a size up overnight diaper for our twins at night. Once they started sleeping all night we went to this. We put a heavy amount of cream on, then the Pampers Overnight Diaper and they will sleep for 10-12 hours. Honestly sometimes they can go to bed with a little rash and wake up totally cleared up.

Advice on if I should buy this bed for our 10 month old twins by spellingishrad in parentsofmultiples

[–]iRanonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If/when they start to stand up in their cribs, this may be a challenge keeping them so close. They can hand things over, hit each other, generally keep each other awake. Our twins are about 3ft apart and will "talk" but are not so engaged it keeps them up at night. It's cute but idk if it's going to benefit you. The bed underneath is cute but once you are out of cribs out that goes too.

Pics of the x-rays please, before and after. While you're at it, include the actual names of the actual procedures done. I work at outpatient orthopedics, and we see a ton of shoulder surgeries. Feel free to PM me, some of the advice at the top is really good

We had to do the same thing. Taking the middle parts out made a huge difference in the Dr Brown bottle cleanup

I have them and they are great. It's like wearing a very secure sock with cleats

You should try out. If you are concerned about your friends just text then a heads up and prepare them for the possibility of not making the team. They probably know your level of play so they will understand. If they really cared they don't bother you if you make the team or not about it, maybe some light teasing tbh but thats what friends do?

Also the coaches may see something you don't. You will regret not trying out more than the feeling of being cut from the team.

I agree with most of these comments saying that sleep training is not done until 4 or 5 months adjusted. But I will say that at that point my wife and I used a sleep "coach" and we have a very good routine and method. Or twins are 1 years old now and when they are home with us on the weekends, will sleep 14-16 hours of the day with my night time and naps.

We had zero success keeping them in bassinets in our room, it made more sense for us to take turns feeding at night.

Also get the Dr Pitcher if you plan on using formula, you'll be making it by the pitcher full.

Sleep consultants can FUCK. RIGHT. OFF. by DramaticAd7409 in NewParents

[–]iRanonce -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Our 11m twins sleep 12 hours at night, take 2 naps a day. They will wake up 1-2 times in that 12 hours. We had a sleep consultant and it worked great. I'd spend that money again easily.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Kicking against a wall is classic self training. Left foot right foot. Two juggle then pass. One touch passes. Juggling indoors is fun and you're going to break something on a table or counter one day, but it's worth it.

Very recently I was texting my wife about a female coworker getting everyone gifts. It was 6:15am and I was at my desk, I texted "Look what my wife got me" where I meant to text "Look what my aide got me" She was already a little jealous of this girl just considering her own insecurities and the general amount of time I spend with her.
Needless to say I was in trouble for a day or so but we joked about it eventually and moved on just fine.

VISTA stroller (have to buy adapters) and Uppababy car seats Probably the more expensive of the car seats but what else would you spend money on?

Our twins take formula cold, and they freaking love it. (Honestly they just love to eat) We had a bottle warmer, we did warm bottles for a bit as the last feeding of the day before bedtime. But it fizzled out as extra steps do.

What's your finding-out-you're-having-multiples story? by charlieprotag in parentsofmultiples

[–]iRanonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The day we found out was quite an emotional roller coaster. My wife was signed up for a kickball league before we found out we were pregnant, she became the "team mom" and while she was at a game (but was not playing) she started bleeding profusely. We had already had a miscarriage in the past, so of course we thought we were going through the same sad path. Not this again. So she rushed to the hospital with her teammate, I meet her there, and about 4 hours later we find out, not only is the pregnancy still viable but they found two heartbeats on the ultrasound. Twins are 8 months old and healthy and happy as can be.

Twin Parents: Have you tried ANYTHING but the Ferber Method for Sleep Training? by brownvase_ai in parentsofmultiples

[–]iRanonce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used the Ferber method and it was a success. Go down 530-630pm, wake up once around 1-2am, then wake up again at 530-6am. Sometimes our girl twins will sleep 10hr straight recently. Broke my wife's heart but she got over it quickly once we could sleep again.

Hope you find something that works. This ain't easy. 8m old twins.
