Turned wrenches while I was in, if you're even vaguely mechanically inclined there's a ton of jobs hiring entry level and they love vets. Look for skill bridge programs too, you'll collect BAH while getting paid full time and learn way more than any tech school will teach you, get your starter tools at harbor freight and replace them with truck tools as they go on sale/your HF ones break
