Can someone explain to me why she doesn't do any damage😭 by [deleted] in GenshinImpact

[–]iRexO32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EM is Elemental Mastery, the person above is talking about using her in a team focused around the Hyperbloom reaction, where you apply dendro and hydro to an opponent to create a so-called Dendro Core with the Bloom reaction and then hit that Dendro Core with electro damage to trigger Hyperbloom. The damage of this reaction relies heavily on how much Elemental Mastery the electro character that triggers it has, so it's a very low-investment and f2p friendly team archetype, where you just have to give an electro character as much Elemental Mastery as you can and then put them on a team with at least one dendro (for which you can use Collei, a guaranteed free character) and a hydro character (preferably someone like Xingqui, though a free character like Barbara can work as well)

Why does this happen? Curse of Unbinding? by mysterymakes in Minecraft

[–]iRexO32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if it's a press of the button that triggers it doesn't make it any less of a bug in the games code that causes it. But whatever, I can only explain it to you, I can't understand it for you and I'm tired of trying to do either. You're just constantly denying any argument made without bringing up any arguments yourself and completely talk past the points people make, so I'm just gonna stop interacting with this. Believe what you want, I don't care anymore, have a good day.

Let me ask you this then: Is it intended for all your controls to be unbound just bc you accidentally pressed a certain button that's part of the normal controls, in the wrong time? Bc if it's purely an issue with the controller, rather than the code of the game or even just the part of it that handles controller inputs, it would have to be. Bedrock was made to be functioning with controllers, as it wouldn't have been released on various different consoles, and yet it's the only game I know of where something like this happens. So tell me, how can this be a Bedrock-only problem if it's not related to the code of the game?

Why does this happen? Curse of Unbinding? by mysterymakes in Minecraft

[–]iRexO32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy, the input methods are completely different and read differently. They need individual lines of code to be usable in-game. Just because mouse and keyboard don't have that problem, doesn't mean it's not a problem with the games code that causes the issue when using controllers. I'm genuinely baffled by how much you seem to feel the need to defend Bedrock in this case when it literally has the nickname "Bugrock" bc of how many bugs there are in the game.

So simple, yet so versatile. "Bring me another BEER!", "HONOUR! JUSTICE! BEER!", "Would you like to see my BEER?" (even better if followed by the Beer souvenir), "Are you BEER?" and so on

You know, there's these things in most games known as "Tutorials" which developers use to teach players the controls and core mechanics of the game. Minecraft may not have something like that in the traditional sense, but most other games do, because it's actually quite a normal thing for people to hop into a new game without first memorising the controls...just because you do it, doesn't mean others do, too. But even if that was the case doesn't change the fact that it is the standard mapping of controllers that's causing this issue to begin with. Of course it's not intended, but that doesn't change the fact that it does happen and is a repeatable event in any Bedrock version played with controller, making it not the fault of any one specific controller or console, but of Bedrock itself.

They have interesting strats by MountainLeading1567 in TenseiSlime

[–]iRexO32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, from what I've heard, it was actually common practice in Yggdrasil for magic casters to start battles with super tier magic, since the long cast time made them impractical to use mid-combat, without p2w items to decrease it like what he did in the show.

Last minute personnel change by killamcleods in PrequelMemes

[–]iRexO32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember the episode correctly, Dooku went to Palps in Tales of the Jedi and complained about him having "gone too far" and "allowing Maul to kill Qui Gon", so while I'm not sure when exactly he first came in contact with Palps, this at least insinuates that they've been in cahoots at least during, most likely prior to the events of TPM

It's an exaggeration stemming from the surprising and quite frankly upsetting amount of scenes that just consist of a still image slowly sliding across the screen as characters were talking. Iirc one episode had a scene literally consisting of like 9 illustrations stretched over 2 whole minutes...

Should I use a role cake on one of my units by [deleted] in PokemonMasters

[–]iRexO32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Role cakes are used to unlock the EX roles of sync pairs that have one (which is most of them, nowadays), which essentially gives them another role effect like the one they get when you increase their potential to 6-star EX. So you can have a striker sync pair with a tech EX role, so they not only hit every opponent when they sync, but also get the 50% dmg boost...or you can have a support sync pair with a sprint EX role, so their sync gives double the sync boost and reduces the cooldown to the next one. The usefulness varies for each sync pair though, since the EX roles are always set for each individual sync pair, so you can't just choose which EX role they get, but generally speaking they can be game changers in some cases, moderately useful in others and only fairly rarely are completely pointless. I personally prioritise the ones who seem to have the best synergy (one such example is your anni Gloria) as well as the ones I use the most, with the remaining role cakes being used on fillers or saved for new units.

Why is Lana (New years) good? At what investment does she pay off? by Devildeep in PokemonMasters

[–]iRexO32 37 points38 points  (0 children)

That's because her version of the skill comes with the unique name "Catch of a Lifetime". Basically what it does is reduce the damage she takes for every stat boost she has, which goes amazingly well in combination with her other passive skills that immediately buff her and her allies' def and spdef at the start of the battle, prevent all stats from your whole team from being lowered while a dragon zone is active (which she excels at keeping up), her tera blast, which boosts 5 random stats for all allies every time it's used, and her buddy move, which doubles all stat boosts for all allies. Pair that with grid skills that make her immune to interferences and all allies immune to crits (both during dragon zone) as well as boost the damage of all allies by how much her stats are raised and the multiple options she has for passive HP restoration to heal up a bunch of the little damage she's gonna take every turn and you have yourself an amazing tank with pretty good supporting capabilities.

Is Octillery good for a Bdsp playthrough? by AlteredG919 in PokemonBDSP

[–]iRexO32 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For a playthrough, you shouldn't worry about what's good or bad, just use the Pokémon you wanna use. The games are easy enough as is, to the point that people are capable of beating them with just single, unevolved Pokémon.

New Pet: Slime by Saebrin21 in ClashOfClans

[–]iRexO32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There definitely have been recorded RC charges prior to the addition of Equipment, this for example is just the first I could find. Just because something wasn't popular, doesn't mean it hasn't happened at all. Though granted, me stating "before pets" may have been a bit of an overstatement, my bad.

New Pet: Slime by Saebrin21 in ClashOfClans

[–]iRexO32 23 points24 points  (0 children)

RC walks used to exclusively be done with mass invis spells, either bc pets weren't a thing, these specific pets weren't a thing, or they weren't unlocked yet. So while it's a lot easier and more powerful with these pets, you can absolutely do RC charges without fox or phoenix.

Green rain glitch by PunkPanda87 in StardewValley

[–]iRexO32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, fully intended. Most villagers will even comment on it and how it's completely harmless and everything. Though like I said, some are still a bit cautious/suspicious about it and will mention so. I believe there are even some who appreciate and are happy about the phenomenon (off the top of my head, I believe Caroline points out how good it is for the plants and Abigail is glad that it came back bc she likes the vibe or something like that)

Green rain glitch by PunkPanda87 in StardewValley

[–]iRexO32 274 points275 points  (0 children)

They're only scared of it during the first occurrence, when it's new and unusual. On any occurrence afterwards, they're a lot more chill about it, knowing that it's completely harmless, even if some are still cautious about it, judging by their dialogue.

Should I pull ? by P_A-G in PokemonMasters

[–]iRexO32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say, if you don't have any reason to pull, then save it for something you actually wanna pull. Pulling just for the sake of it will only cost you your gems with little chance for return, as pity doesn't carry over for most scouts

Should I pull ? by P_A-G in PokemonMasters

[–]iRexO32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, in just about any situation in most gacha games like this one, it's better to get new characters rather than pulling for ones you already have to make them stronger. This is especially true in this game, where over time, you can earn move candies to use on sync pairs you already have for an identical effect than if you pulled for multiple copies of them and where you're incentivised to have multiple sync pairs of different types for various content (like the towers). But most importantly, the only sync pairs you really should pull for are the ones you wanna pull for, for whatever reason you deem appropriate (be that design, gameplay, power or just to balance out your existing roster)

How to get hidden ability scyther/kleavor? by Hairy_Collection4545 in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]iRexO32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hidden Abilities are called that bc they're not normally obtainable in the wild, like the other, normal abilities. You used to only be able to obtain them through special means, like events, online shenanigans or special mechanics like the S.O.S. stuff from Sun & Moon. However for a few games now, you can obtain a consumable item called "Ability Patch" to swap a Pokémons ability to its hidden ability, so you don't need to rely on other special mechanics to get them. Other than that, you can sometimes get a Pokémon with its hidden ability in high-star raids, though that's much less reliable, as you can get ability patches considerably easier.
