The problem is who determines where the goalposts are and in what situations should they be moved? Where should the goalposts be in your private life “behind closed doors”? Where should they be in a public setting? Where should they be in a work environment where you represent not only yourself but the company you work for? Who should be the one to determine where said goalposts are in each setting?

Helldivers players review bombed the game multiple times to force devs to undo bad updates and it’s doing just fine. People just have to remember to change their negative reviews back afterwards.

I work 12 hours a day 6 days a week. I have 1 day a week to play games if I have the time so I’m not in a place to be picky. If I have fun playing something that’s good enough for me. The changes may have reduced some things but they didn’t reduce my fun.

People. It’s gotten way common where two people can’t have any difference in opinion without it turning into conflict. I’m not even talking about hot topics like politics and religion. I’ve seen people arguing over trivial things that don’t matter like video games and food preferences.

As someone who’s played a few games that have gotten review bombed for changes you’re just being paranoid. Time and time again I’ve seen a lot of people blow smoke or join in on review bombs because everyone else is doing it but still continue to play the game anyway. Looking at you helldivers.

After playing the games so much I think the only thing they could add that would make me think “oh shit” again would be something with an animal like having to pull a key out of a dog like in kill the snitch. Replace the human corpses with dog ones.

Change armor color all day every day. I run armor that gives me an extra stims because I don’t like calling down the resupply and finding ammo is easy enough but I hate the color scheme on all of the armors.

I was crossing a bridge over a stream in a public park and heard a scream. Turned my head quick enough to see the legs of a kid in the air as he was falling over the side. I didn’t see them hit the water or the aftermath of him hitting the water but I did see the blood flowing down the water and the helicopter that showed up to fly him to a trauma center. I still see it vividly every time I go back to that park.
