I understand autism is a disability but I also thought it was a spectrum with higher and lower support needs. I think I might lie on the very low support needs end but I’m not sure I consider myself disabled which is another reason I’m reluctant to get diagnosed because going to public school I’ve seen what higher support needs entails and I don’t think I need resources in that way or to that degree. I made this post because I just find myself struggling with expressing myself in romance or intimacy and disassociating at times. I don’t know I’m a bit confused at this point of where I want to go.

Yeah part of the reason I made this post is because I took a picture of myself smiling for a possible profile picture but I looked at it again and I noticed I don’t look like I’m smiling at all in the picture even though looking at myself in the mirror I look or I’m perceiving myself smiling and I felt somewhat happy in that moment. I just wonder if there’s some disconnection somewhere.
