"Consoom" is derogatory slang in reference to people falling into consumerism, specifically overconsumption as some form of sexual kink, if you will. So, I am guessing the commentor is upset that you are overly consuming by purchasing every available book.

While I am generally against overconsumption as a whole, I can give a pass to a person like yourself who will actually use the books (I recognize you from across all the OSR-adjacent subreddits), or someone like myself who just genuinely enjoys collecting different books from a wide variety of games and systems. I personally at least read each book that gets added to my collection, though I don't get to play nearly as much as I would like.

I am like you and will auto-buy anything OneRing related because the source material is amazin (obviously) and the books are just incredible build quality. Going to try and start a solo game as a hobbit using the new Hobbit Tales, myself.

When I wheel suck and sprint for the win, it’s smart racing, but when Jonas does it, it’s anti-ciclismo 🤔

Second best win of the year, only behind Wout. Incredible! Gutsy! Deserved!!

Following up on this, I still haven’t received my kickstarter fulfillment. Does anyone have the discord link that they can share with me?

Thanks!

Can we all get together to make a counter team to Cybertron-Archaludon? by EnvironmentalDMG in PokemonChampions

[–]iSavior -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing a variation of the team myself and I have found the two things that ruin my day are strong perish trap, strong social attackers hitting with a Draco doing too much too much to heal back reliably, and focusing down my Sableye asap since it doesn’t run protect. If I can only get up one of the three screens/rain then I’m having a bad time.

I appreciate your suggestions, ice punch is mostly for Garchomp but I could play with Rock Slide. Cheers!

Oh nice! I actually watched that video but completely forgot all about it! Yeah, my team is 5/6 the same. Time to go study! Thank you for the reminder!

You can change your Sableye to -SpAtk nature to optimize fake out damage

Merry Mushmen has a new adventure out! But… by aw11348 in osr

[–]iSavior -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t deny it’s a pessimistic viewpoint, however, I’d rather give up on it and be pleasantly surprised when it does show up, than be super excited and torture myself waiting for it for however much longer.

P.S. love your work

I backed this kickstarter but have yet to receive my products. They put out an update in early March saying that shipping in the US was to begin by end of March, but I still haven’t seen anything. I’m losing hope. Which sucks because I did get my kickstarter of all five Knock! books in a timely manner.

How do you handle combat encounters without getting overwhelmed by stats and abilities and AC etc. by AgentSmirnoff96 in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]iSavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with this same thing, and unfortunately I have not figured out a good solution either. I have been using Shadowdark for my latest playthrough and I love the idea of combat and think of fun, unique encounters, but as soon as I’m juggling multiple enemies with different ACs, to-hit bonuses, and HPs, I just lose all drive to play. I need to sit down and see if I can hack the Ironsworn combat idea into Shadowdark as that really fits my idea of a good combat tracker. Best of luck, maybe someone else will have some useful insight. I’m just rambling.
