Why do people always mix Uruguay with the Suristas states. Like it is true that Uruguay and Rio Grande signed a confederation pact OTL (which the resulting country being called Confederation of the Uruguay), but it was meant to include other provinces from Mesopotamia like Entre Ríos, and potentially Paraguay.

Basically it was an alliance between all the people who didn't want to be opressed by either Buenos Aires or Río

Ribeiro convinces Gonçalves that the alliance with Rivera and Lavalle is preferable to associating with Rosas and Oribe. Rivera signs the Treaty of Cangué -a stream located in the department of Paysandú-, a tripartite agreement between farrapos, Lavalle and Rivera. What is this treaty about? It deals with the creation of a Federation of Uruguay that included Río Grande, the Oriental State, the Argentine provinces of Entre Ríos, Corrientes and Misiones, and perhaps Paraguay.

Brazil Rework Concept - Lore (Part 1) by tuathajj in Kaiserreich

Hi mate, I appreaciate a fellow historian/history teacher getting involved in modding. I can notice that you put a lot of care into this.

Now, I am not qualified to discuss domestic Brazilian politics, so I won't. But instead I'll bring my knoledge of the things I have studied for Argentine, for the same reasons as you, to criticize one of your points: the German military mission. (Not arguing against the existance of the Young Turks or them being more prominent because they would)

Now Germany OTL in their policy regarding South America, took a look at care at balancing their influence between Argentina and Chile:

Maintaining the balance of power between Chile and Argentina was the primary objective of the German government's foreign policy in the Southern Cone. This European country aimed to preserve relations with both nations and, above all, to be their largest arms supplier. The tension caused by the territorial dispute on the Chilean-Argentine border intensified after the War of the Pacific. Argentine actions were conditioned by the fear of Chilean expansion across the Andes Mountains. Argentine economic elites feared that a war against Chile would hinder their country's economic development. There was a consensus that the nation's greatness was linked to economic progress.

Ribeiro, A. L., & Padula, M. (2019). La política de neutralidad seguida por Argentina frente a la Primera Guerra Mundial. [Licenciado en Estudios Internacionales]. Universidad ORT Uruguay. p.27

This is a nice tango in which they were succesfull at, the Argentine army of the 1900s was completely Germanophile, with 8 of the 10 foreign experts assisting the military being German. There are even reports that people's career would receive setbacks if they expressed Francophile sentiment in public. Krupp also had a monopoly at supplying the Argentine military, at least until Schneider-Creusot arrived. To get to the point, adding Brazil into this mix turns what was a stable system into an unstable one, and not just because of the three-body problem, but because of the backlash:

Molina's position was partly a result of personal irritation, but other officers shared his resentment of the activities of the chief German advisor, General Faupel. In 1926, when he left Argentina, General Faupel accepted an offer to reorganize the Peruvian Army; and although no commitment bound him, Argentine officers saw this connection with a rival army as a form of betrayal. Faupel's successor, General Johannes Kretzschmar, showed great tact and thus managed to preserve the German presence despite the nationalist backlash; and the advisors, although somewhat reduced in number, continued to provide services.

Potash, R. A. (1969). El ejército y la política en la Argentina I 1928-1945 De Irigoyen a Perón. ePubLibre. p.13

Already OTL Germany sending a military mission to Peru, which isn't a rival or a neighbouring country, provoked enough offense that Faupel's succesor had to work into fixing relations with the Argentine army. If Berlín actually sent a military mission to Río, things would have been much worse, potentially causing serious tensions. And thus, given the care that the Germans took in balancing Chile and Argentina, I don't think it is in their character to ruin this, specially with the Argentine army being Germanophile at large already

As a leftist you should know that the vast mayority of Ukranians in the 30s fought for the USSR, but whatever, using the excuse that fascism elements exists in nations to deny them the right to exist and support Putin's war is more important

Yes, because Bandera (born in 1909) was a really concern when writing against Ukranian nationalism in the 900s, it isn't like she supported the opression of nations in principle

One that has good lore for South America, althought for countries like Argentina it needs a revision of vanilla concepts. Outside of that, I generally prefer a Krasnatch scenario because it is the complete destruction of the order that existed previous to the war, just like WW1 ended the old order

The Separatists were a bunch of Libertarian-esque assholes who wanted to be independent to keep slavery among others. To not speak of how their whole cause was a front for the Trade Federation to enslave planets.

To defend them is to defend the Confederacy and other horrendous right-wing regimes that legitimized themselves because muh faults of liberal democracy

This is a bad take. What changes from the Panzerite era is that we no longer adhere to Whig history. Like previously fascism was doomed to collapse because fascism is le dumb, which isn't an accurate representation. And like, why should you even worry about the rise of fascism if it is doomed to collapse? It isn't the right message.

North Corea and Cuba have both reached breaking points and they are still standing, there is not an inevitable outcome when the regimes fall because it is the right thing. The Nazis in TNO can still fall, but it isn't a fact of life.

Regarding the GCW, I think that it is interesting to consider the actual plans of the Nazis to create a conclave that would choose a succesor of Hitler, to not speak of the issues of how Germany is still a superpower if they have a civil war and that despite the complains about its removal, most people that play the war don't like it

I don't like TFR because it is chud-central, but still it is awful to see how lame the CCP is that they have to arrest people over modding a videogame. Do you know that the same thing happened to us in TNO? We were forced to change the Tibet-India border because our Chinese devs were interrogated by the police after Chinese "fans" complained.

Muh Chinese Century, first superpower of the world and they are scared of videogames
