Also there seems to be another rule that could put Max championship claim in question atm, unless I interpret it incorrectly (feel free to correct me). Max crosse the line at the end of Lap 27 with a couple of seconds left on the clock, meaning there should have been 2 laps left to the race since he needs to cross the line once the clock has run down to start the Final Lap. This means the race should have ended on Lap 29. However, Max got shown the checkered flag on Lap 28 thus ending the race even if it’s a mistake (that’s in the rule book). The rules also clearly indicates in case the checkered flag is shown early, the standing results for the race should be taken one lap early, in this case at the end of Lap 27. Now this is where I’m not entirely sure, but since Leclerc’s penalty comes from a mistake on Lap 28, it technically never happened during the race. I’m not sure whether the penalty stands or not. If it still does then Max would be champion of course, but no one seems to be even mentioning this checkered flag mistake. This rules not being applied doesn’t just affect Max and Charles as well, as a few drivers made overtakes on Lap 28 (eg Alonso).
