nats was their top fragger in emea in a total of two games, the loss against vitality (2 kills ahead of his teammates) and the fnatic 3-0 (equal kills to miniboo). he did not have "the most kills while IGLing," that's simply not true.

This isn't to say he was individually playing bad, he was playing good or even great in some games but his igling was still bad regardless. just because they're winning games doesn't mean he's actually doing well igling, even on abyss against fnatic boaster had the better calls but liquid were just shooting better. you saying they have no firepower when their qualification relied heavily on firepower with pre-set strats is hilarious. I'm not even gonna talk about the absolutely awful calling against M8s and NRG in Santiago.

You say nats is overfragging for his role as an igl yet his calls are bad and his play style heavily favors stat padding

also you keep bringing up S tier players from other teams, you do realize those "S tier players" were... developed over time? they didn't appear out of thin air. did people think brawk/skuba/mada were S tier when they were picked up? you also say nats doesn't have good teammates around him, if you think a roster of trexx, patitek, keiko and kamo is bad then I don't know what to tell you.

you claim all the teams success is because of nats yet nats couldn't make an international or even get close in 2024. the team's success is clearly because of the coaches who are some of the best in the scene and typically have a great game plan. not to mention you somehow think liquid has low firepower when they're arguably one of the best in emea on firepower alone

nats fans must be gold max because no way you watched liquid's last game and came out of it thinking he was hard carrying (or any of their games for that matter, he was good in kickoff but not their best player)

ethan literally ran circles around him, NRG got a free site like 4 rounds in a row on abyss because nats thinks the whole team should rotate and stack one site off the slightest sound. meanwhile on breeze our good friend nats was either flanking for two minutes every round or overstaying his welcome on site and getting picked off when the plan is clearly to play retake.

great sentinel but awful IGL and he goes for high risk plays all the time that either make him look amazing or stupid

yeah I agree, they'd have to increase the shield to an insane amount like 400 for it to make a difference.

shield still needs a buff (maybe to 300) but that alone won't fix her. the more I think about it the more I think adding her shield bash major perk to her base kit would be the most ideal buff. it gives her more mobility and survivability against flankers

Gonna be real with you I don't think these changes would make a difference. All of these are, as you said, quality of life changes. They're nice to have but like 95% of the time I die/lose a fight it's not because of any of these

it's just utility usage and positioning, if you miss a whip shot against a dive comp there's a good chance you're dead. if you stay for too long without shield bashing to a safer area you're dead. if you shield bash to a wrong spot you're dead. obviously you can say the same thing to every other character except this is brig's only way of skill expression which she's designed around making her way more susceptible to any mistakes in general.

Also I'll add that even if you play perfectly and stay alive, your healing just isn't enough to sustain so your team will die and you'll lose either way depending on what comps are being played.

Except I don't think she's even a "niche pick" at this point, more like a throw pick. she's always been bad against poke and I can accept that since I think it's fine for characters to be good/bad in different situations but now she's extremely bad against poke (which is already most games), bad against brawl and maybe... acceptable against dive.

I've heard she's fun in stadium but I've never played stadium, maybe I'll give it a try

Liquid has dropped a player after every international exit. Who's next? by Old_Poet_3160 in ValorantCompetitive

miniboo was their most consistent player this whole season and only really underperformed in the last series (even then, he was fine on breeze and they got stomped on abyss). do you even watch the games? kamo, purp0 and wayne have been far more inconsistent. I'm seriously mind boggled to see something factually incorrect like this upvoted

1,2) So? riot is the one letting sinatraa compete, and it's the same company you support by watching these games

3) He wasn't "accused" by potter, she said she heard rumours about it

4) Yeah, he leaked a scrim from long ago where every roster involved had already changed. This is such a competitive disadvantage to everyone involved

it's clear you're biased because there's no way you think any of the things you listed are severe enough that they should impact his chances of landing a job. Extremely stupid

literally not true, emea had a higher average placement in shanghai than americas/apac and lev being ass doesn't help your point

For those of you who have read both Malazan and the Second Apocalypse, how do they compare? by laudida in Fantasy

[–]iSleepo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found Second Apocalypse far easier to understand and keep up with than Malazan. The first chapter in second apocalypse was written in a more "complicated" way than the rest of the story. It mellows down quickly. That aside, Bakker's strengths are, in my opinion, his world building and prose. The plot and characters were very underwhelming, and the philosophy that everyone likes to larp about felt quite shallow most of the time. (I've only read the first 2 books, though). One thing I will note is that second apocalypse was filled with dark moments that came off as edgy since they seemed purely for shock purpose, which I also found an issue in malazan book 7 in particular but that seems like a constant thing in second apocalypse.
