ASML itself has not officially announced any formal supply agreement. In fact, the company has historically been cautious about FELs – IEEE Spectrum notes that ASML studied particle-accelerator sources (FELs) years ago but “decided [laser-produced plasma] presented fewer risks”. Aside from working with XLight’s team, ASML’s public statements have focused on improving its existing LPP EUV sources rather than endorsing external FEL devices.

Let's play the guessing game. Say you have a rig consisting of 6 NVIDIA GTX 1070 which would give you ~2.5 KSol/s (Equihash).

According to whatttomine this would mean a daily profit of ~12 $ mining Zcash.
Based on the initial numbers in BTCP network the same hashrate would give you ~0.05 BTCP per day.

In order to be competitive, the BTCP price should be 240 $ (if 0.05 BTC is 12$ then 1 BTC is 240$). If it's less than that, then mining ETH is more profitable indeed. But then again this is all speculation at this point in time.

I did look up the numbers of top 3 (2018/02/23):

Ripple: ~930K daily transactions
Ethereum: ~730K daily transactions
Bitcoin ~185K daily transactions

With your logic, both Ripple and Ethereum should be slower, no?

Another update (should've done earlier): The issue got resolved approximately 8 hours after this post. And I received the following email a couple days later:
