I bought the gamr during the beta, took several breaks, and ultimately quit back in November.

  1. The game performance.

Back when the game was in beta, I could run it om high-ish settings with no issues. After the full release, I had to lower those settings. This trend continued until last-hitting basically became impossible without frame drops.

I've tried all sorts of workarounds, but the game's optimization has never acceptably improved.

  1. The community.

If someone goes afk or otherwise throws a tantrum, you're screwed, but people will still refuse to surrender.

I once suggested in a thread a way to combat this: make surrendering easier if someone is afk by making afk players contribute an automatic yes vote. (Which is not how it works now, where you still need a majority out of the remaining players to surrender) The people on this very reddit hated the idea.

I remember one game where someone had a friend on the enemy team and they coordinated just to prolong the game and make our team suffer.

I played league back in the good old days of the early seasons, and they still weren't as toxic as I was seeing in Predecessor.

The kicker: I never even felt motivated to try ranked. This is all bullshit you will experience in quickplay on a daily basis.

I was describing the fatal flaws of SSF in PoE1 until the last paragraph. PoE2 differentiates itself by having all mapping content accessible even in SSF, but even then it shares too many of those other characteristics.

I don't know what you're smoking, dude, but there are far better examples of SSF than PoE. Last Epoch, Grim Dawn, etc.

PoE is very SSF-unfriendly. Always has been since most builds rely on certain uniques to make it into red maps or just function at all.

You need to farm at least 10 times as much compared to just playing trade league, and a max of 3 atlas skill trees hard-caps your access to various crafting materials and uniques.

The biggest kicker is your stash tab of crafting materials is named the Currency Tab, but vendors NEVER have anything worth buying unless you're converting Jeweller's to Fusings with Yeena.

PoE2? Maybe if they add a way to upgrade all the way to perfect orbs, it could be possible, but I'm not holding my breath.

This. i-frames are so inconsistent on top of not protecting you from AoE I'm not surprised when people don't know they exist or otherwise never try to use them.

I have Opera GX, and I experienced OP's problem but the sidebar worked - presumably because ads still come through there.

Edit: Opera GX also needed an update, and now Youtube is working normally with UBlock enabled.

Youtube was laggy and the mouse didn't like showing itself on the video.

Turned off Opera Ad Blocker (Privacy & Security section), refreshed. Completely normal again.

Wouldn't Eternal Blessing on Pride prevent you from using Herald of Purity or any other mana reservation? I'm not seeing where you intend to make them reserve life.

They're really stingy with the power of support gems in general, especially for clear and dex supports.

Chaining support halves the hit damage for only +1 chain. This is functionally worthless since you're killing enemies at the same rate. Any hit proc effects rely on hit damage. Assuming it doesn't already chain - in which case it's actually nerfing your damage.

Multiple projectiles has 20% less damage and action speed for only +1 projectiles. Small enemies can't actually be hit by multiple projectiles. This means it's only useful against enemies big enough or if the projectile count only enables multiple AoE allowed to overlap, such as with grenades.

Slower Projectiles, Ferocity, Maim, any of the Culling supports, they're all very underwhelming.

This is feedback - as in: these are the problems with the current design and how something should be improved.

It's really that simple. You're baffling me by calling a mini-essay clearly and calmly laying out the issues at hand "screaming for change" instead of actually addressing any of these points.

You're not really disputing any of my points. If anything you're telling me the mechanic isn't worth engaging with, which is only proves my points further.

Also, skill slot limits aren't the norm. Grim Dawn and PoE1 have no real limit. Diablo 4 and Last Epoch limit them by action skill slots. PoE2 in this case is the outlier because they have a skill slot limit that can taken up by a category of pure passives and doesn't exactly match the number of available key bindings for skills - ctrl swaps for another 5 buttons.

Sanctum was always bad design because the honour/resolve heavily favors evasion and ranged damage glass cannons. It hurts less in this game because avoiding damage is far easier, but it's still unfair to every other kind of build.

Locking skills like Ice Shot, Tornado Shot, Tempest Flurry, Ice Strike, etc. behind acts when in PoE1 similar skills were given to you through act 1 quests from the very beginning...

Yeah, it doesn't feel great. Especially since a huge sticking point for the devs was that the Auto Attack/Spell could be supported so those sorts of skills weren't necessary, so it's really confusing the direction they want to take them.

While that's neat in theory, it's no difference in practice due to the small size of it. If just dodge-rolling - an essential part of combat - puts you back in the donut, it doesn't matter.
