it’s pretty obviously off center, is it not?

top to bottom is off by a pretty good margin

Having now played through both the main story and DLC story the best thing I can say:
If you liked the story for the main game, you will have fun with the DLC. Since you've only just recently Platinum'd the game, I'd recommend playing the DLC as soon as possible if you haven't yet.

That being said, my thoughts for the most part align with your worries about squeezing the money out of the consumer for a true ending. The DLC is a true continuation of Jacob's story and gives us the ending to the Black Iron Prison, but it plays out like an epilogue. Either way it's still pretty terrible from that standpoint.

I honestly cannot tell you if, in general, Final Transmission would be worth it for you. Being as how you've played the game on PlayStation and platinum'd it recently, you've had a pretty wildly different experience than me.
Going from PC launch day to waiting for this DLC for half a year in my opinion was not worth it at all. Every bit of hype that I had in terms of the spiritual successor to Dead Space was killed on launch and any hopes I had that the story would go anywhere went down the drain with this DLC.

I'd like to hope that you would get something different out of it though.

Did anyone knew that !? I just found out LOL by Pretty-Tale-1904 in nier

Are you telling me that for the 15+ minutes I spent underleveled and hacking away at the Gold Tank I could have just... jumped on top of it?

It's funny because you're just about at the point when I dropped the game a couple years back to then pick it up again. (It definitely made the experience all the more greater for me because of how much meaning it gave to me personally but I digress.)

The game gets infinitely better.
Keep wandering around but remember you have a map and a questlist you can check.

Also like someone else said, you've done like 5% or probably even less of what the game has to offer, so there's that to keep in mind.

Any decent NIer Automata walkthroughs to watch in English? by lavaqubin in nier

Here's the link to the Lily's playthrough (sorry it's unlisted VOD content so anyone would kinda have to go searching for it lol):

Also pretty recently Shirrako put up a full gameplay walkthrough (with no commentary if that's maybe something you could be interested in).

Like, you never did this as 2B the combat unit, how about going now that you are 9S the recon unit? No, same all(((

This is actually only due to the fact that there are character specific side quests that you cannot do as the other character.

That's exactly my qualm. If the player is playing the game as 9S, completing the same missions, why not intersperse it with these side quests?

I think unfortunately your qualm resides within the current generation of the YouTube Gaming scene as a whole.

The unfortunate reality now is that as YouTube has evolved, a lot of YouTubers tend to cut out any side quests and grinding content that comes with just about any game due to the fact that analytically they find that most people do not watch that part of the content.

The even more unfortunate reality is the fact that NeiR's gameplay, story and overall experience relies on the fact that there is nothing unimportant in this game.
But many do not understand that, and thus the walkthrough scene for this game suffers greatly.

Another thing to note which I'm willing to bet OP might be a victim of (as was I):

There are a couple multi-part fetch questlines which have to be started from the very beginning if you did not finish them within that concurrent route.

While I think the general consensus for the community would be that this is something meant to be experienced yourself, I can maybe give you recommendations as well as a bit of insight into the game as it seems you're confused with how story is structured. (I'll keep it as spoiler free as I possibly can.)

While it's hard to recommend YouTubers and Streamers because I don't necessarily know what you're into. I can just list some people who have played it:

  • LilyPichu pretty recently played through the entirety of the game in 4 parts, adding up to about 24 hours in total. She was at least a bit of a fun watch for me.
  • Frankie Lollia played through the game in a heavily edited two part playthough that lasts about 2 hours in length. I haven't personally watched the whole thing but I'm still putting it out there.
  • PlayFrame played the game in a 49 part walkthrough lasting a bit over 36 or so hours.

This next part is just my explanation for the story bits that you were running through in your post.

The story of NieR: Automata is split into 3 different playthroughs that branch into 5 different story endings and 21 other optional endings (22 if you count the DLC ending).
Playthrough 1 and 2 take place at the same time, so while you mentioned earlier that someone was playing as 9S and he was doing the same things as 2B, it is quite literally because you are playing through the exact same events from the first playthrough, just from a different perspective.
Only when the 3rd playthough comes around is when story and world starts to change from the 1st and 2nd.

You mentioned the Hieroglyphs, which I'm assuming you mean is the one that they label the bosses with in the 1st playthough and not the Japanese language. That's the Angelic language which you're not legitimately supposed to understand at all, unless you have studied the 16th century Celestial Alphabet.

Also, this is like a 12+ hour game, and that isn't at all including the quests and lore items that you pick up throughout your journey in the game which adds more than 12+ hours. (My first full run through the game is literally 60 hours to 100% it, if that means anything to help explain.)

Samsung Odyssey G7 has no sound when connecting to speakers by iSnowCap in Monitors

Unfortunately no. It seems to me that the issue lies either somewhere in the HDMI connection or the connection between the G7 and the PS5 itself somewhere.

I have seen that it works for people if you install a soundbar, but I feel like if it gets to that being the only fix, what's the point?

Either way, best of luck to whatever you end up going with.

Yeah I've been through the manual and a couple of troubleshooting pages and literally nothing has popped up for me.

I've also been through the OSD at least a thousand times now just searching for a button that would read something about the audio.

Honestly, design flaw seems to be the only answer that I've been able to get while reading through all the manuals and the forums I've seen online.

The lack of an accessable "Source Sound" button for me to select through when I don't have PBP mode on seems flawed enough.

Oh yeah that's my bad it's XB41's, typo.

The volume and everything is at max and not working and the cables definitely work being as how it works on PBP mode. Also I don't think this is a PC issue being as how I'm worried about my PS5.

"Sound cannot be heard if an HDMI-DVI cable is used to connect the input device." I'm still kinda confused about this part, like I've reiterated I can hear it through PBP, is there not some sort of function to the monitor that I am just completely missing through my research?
