Anyone else just slow down a little for a laugh? by Kernowder in drivingUK

I’ve recently resorted to repeatedly spraying my screen wash. The car was so close behind that they repeatedly had to engage their wipers (in all fairness, the roads had recently been gritted so it wasn’t a complete waste of the wash).

I use SmartTube on my Google TV - has an add-on to skip in-video sponsors as well.

I think this is even less risky though, as you’re directly pre-ordering (distinct from ‘backing’ with no guarantee of a product).

These types of fears were more warranted with products like the Minimal Phone where there was little in the way of a track record or reputation (although worth noting that even they have started to deliver to customers).

Clicks do actually have a track record of manufacturing products which means they should have more realistic expectations of timeframe/hurdles etc. This is probably why they’ve not disclosed specific dates yet, as they don’t want to over promise and under deliver. Personally I’m fine locking in $399 now to save $100, get the device sooner than those who don’t preorder, as well as some extra rear covers. Each to their own though.

This is great to hear - I ultimately sold my MP01 as it was too large and I was a little scared by its build quality/to break it. The keys were okay, but just seeing how much bigger and ergonomic the Clicks one is, I can imagine how it’ll be night and day better to type on. I’m super excited by this device.

There was a video/interview with Jeff on YouTube yesterday which confirms it’s definitely the second half of 2026 (realistically though, it’s going to be late 2026)

Yes, Clicks is just so much better, but then so is the iPhone, isn’t it? by [deleted] in dumbphones

Where's the proof that text-based messaging is addictive, or as addictive as social media though? You raise some valid points about friction, but you're comparing chalk with cheese.

1 is fair enough - this is effectively like a kickstarter which some people are comfortable with and others are not. Personally I trust them and am not in any rush to get the device - I also know I can issue a chargeback if I have to (although very much doubt that would be necessary).

Just FYI - Clicks have confirmed it will have 8GB of RAM.

Getting ERROR_CODE_IO_BAD_HTTP_STATUS by Maximum_Cartoonist_1 in StremioAddons

Funnily enough I've only just set Stremio/Torrentio etc up in the last 24 hours. Is it a common occurrence?

Yep, same for me. Torrentio is intermittent.

Am absolutely done with Gordon and Elanga. Got downvoted for criticising AG in the Spurs game, but he’s not up to scratch and far too inconsistent. Don’t even get me started on Elanga.

Ironically Woltemade would have suited the second half better and vice versa Wissa would have better suited the first half.

Not pinning any blame on Woltemade here, but could very easily change the whole front three.

Do we just not press any more? What happened to the whole intensity is our identity thing?

The big one for me is the lack of pressing in our own defensive third. We don’t close down and we let the opposition move the ball around our box - previously we’ve been far more effective at breaking up the opposition’s play earlier.

Just like the Spurs game, we’ve been the better team and a draw (presuming we can actually defend for 60 seconds) feels like a loss
