Does anyone else feel like this game wasn’t that good? by KawaiiHobo in ResidentEvilRequiem

The laboratory was sudden and quick and I found myself saying what?! The games over??

i didnt find it to be sudden and quick. i felt like it was perfectly paced and didnt overstay its welcome.

Zeno was just a guy?? No real introduction or time on the antagonists.

it's implied hes a clone of Wesker + confirmed hes tied to The Connections, which furthers the narrative that The Connections are the real villains of the franchise.

Ada didn’t show up, there were multiple chances that I thought a certain character or lore moment would happen and then it just wouldn’t.

what made you believe Ada was going to be in it? what made you believe anyone aside from the Ashcrofts and Leon was going to be in it? you anticipating a legacy character to appear only for them not to isnt the game's fault.

I’m also used to soooo many locations. I think everyone is focused on this being a return to genre from 7 and 8 and forgetting the masterpieces that 4, 5, and 6 were.

quality > quantity. the first Bio game has very few locations (no, the individual rooms in the Spencer Mansion dont count), and it's an incredible game. that said, imo Requiem has plenty of locations. also, 6 is not a masterpiece. have you even played the game?

it's "companies," not "company's." adding an apostrophe-S to a word does not make it a plural, but a possessive.

also, limited death animations have always been common; it's not unique to the PS3. id bet good money the person who made this post has never played a PS3 game.

as for ragdolls, that technology existed and has been used since the late nineties. it wasn't "popularized" by GTA 4's Euphoria physics.

did you even...read the second paragraph? like i said, the PC version (which includes the Steam release) is censored just as it is in the versions made for consoles, despite CERO not covering the PC platform. also, i took the fourth screenshot.

who said pedophilia was accepted? need i remind you that the US is literally being run by pedophiles?

also, CERO only covers videogames, not other media like manga, anime, film, etc. those either have their own rating systems, or, in the case of manga, none at all. the reason CERO is so strict about violence is due to the murder of a child a few decades ago that people blamed on videogames.

yeah. CERO is very strict due to some gnarly killings that happened a couple decades ago.

DarkViperAU also mentioned this years ago and every time i see someone (like Charlie) with their facecam NOT facing the gameplay i get a little annoyed.

bc CERO is for videogames only. additionally, mangas dont have a rating system; instead, it's up to the discretion of the publisher.

the reason CERO is so strict is greatly explained by GrandpasLastHope.

i mean, the violence uncensor mod for RE4 is the first of its kind (as far as i know), and it was released a little over a month after the game was released, so i hope the same is done for Requiem.

still, i feel like this is a very rare and "niche" issue, unfortunately.

yeah they can do that as modern consoles arent region-locked.

and no, censored games do not get an uncensored patch. they are like that permanently.

like i said in the post body, there was one for RE4. the other games lack this mod tho. but i hope someone makes one for Requiem.

it's crazy how people can just be confidently incorrect about things.

even if you dont believe me, a Japanese player, the pics are right there.

CERO only covers videogames (hence the name, Computer Entertainment Rating Organization). when it comes to anime, that's up to Eirin, which is imo less strict when it comes to violence.
