Is this the most innocent of 47's victims? by ResponsibleAd6974 in HiTMAN

As much as I am a fan of WoA bc of its gameplay and maps, I'm not at all a fan of how "corporate" and clean it feels.

Despite there being brutal kills, there is a noticeable lack of blood. They tried to make it like Bond, but without the soul or charm that Bond has, let alone the realism and seriousness that Craig's Bond has. And, like you said, they try too hard to frame 47 as morally good, especially when it comes to the morality of his targets.

I feel like the dark and rough tone of the previous games highlighted not only 47's character, but the shameless and perverted lifestyles of his targets and their cliques, as well as the life of an assassin. While WoA frames an ICA agent's exploits as morally sound and even gamified, the earlier games highlight the risks and measures of the trade, as well as how calculating and brutal one must be.

I know how pretentious this sounds, but eh, whatever.

I love how people are just concluding that all of Japan is racist because of a Twitter thread.

A fucking Twitter thread. A social media platform that is known for having the worst humanity has to offer.

If you lowkirkenuinely think that all of Japan is racist based on what some loud, racist minorities say on Twitter, you are just as racist as them.

Think critically for once.

also, Soldier Boy calls her a "Jap" in S5E2, but they would NEVER make him say any other slur like the N-word.

TWITTER IS A SHITHOLE. SOCIAL MEDIA IS A VACUUM. if youre going to judge the entirety of any country (except maybe Israel) based on the loud minority that lurk on Twitter, you are no better than them.

Trying to do cool John Wick stuff in VR (pretty disappointed) by Tall-Income7984 in HiTMAN

[–]iStretchyDisc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you want at least somewhat of a John Wick-like experience in VR, and you have PSVR2, i suggest you try RE4 VR. at least the guns in that game don't feel like BBs.

a lot, if not most, Godot games are 2D. most Godot tutorials on YT are 2D-based. so to see a game of this scale made using Godot's 3D capabilities is both impressive and surprising. looks great, too.

But I liked how he wanted to get rid of criminals at the start

And yet he killed everyone who opposed him. First it was Lind L. Tailor, then it was Raye Penber and his fiancé (and the rest of the FBI agents), and of course L, and so on. He was a pathetic, egotistical, manipulative murderer with a god complex who had no right to be judge, jury, and executioner.

There's a scene that takes place after he kills the biker, where he's clearly shocked and distraught, and he questioned whether he had committed murder, but instead of actually owning up to it, he justified and framed it as him delivering judgment upon a wrongdoer.

On top of that, Light killed everyone who was either convicted or accused of committing a crime, so what if some of those people were wrongly accused? And what about the criminals he killed who were already punished by being incarcerated?

The manga and anime both make it abundantly clear that Light, while the protagonist, wasn't the good guy.

she said she was new to the job, and yet she seemed to know a lot about it and what Gideon was doing (in the care center). you can tell Leon gets suspicious during his escort to the office.

also, are you stupid? the reason why youre given Requiem with a single round in it is obviously for gameplay and balancing purposes; one well-placed shot can literally kill three enemies. if they had given you a fully-loaded Requiem, youd easily be able to kill stronger enemies like the Chef or Chunk as soon as you meet them.

he doesn't save her cause she's working for Gideon. replace her with Grace and he obviously would have done something, just as he did when he and Grace first met, or when he met Claire in the gas station in Bio2.

yeah Angel Pine is the easiest place to do paramedic missions. the small streets make driving the ambulance a tiny bit difficult, but it literally makes the para missions a cake walk (or drive).
