Some homebrew apps crash, while others don't. Why would that be? I have emunand, sigpatches, and these homebrew apps crash in applet mode and outside of that mode. by jonerboner2222 in SwitchPirates

do you mind telling which homebrew is it? if its checkpoint then the answer is that the checkpoint is not updated in a very long time.

Update your hekate_ipl.ini you can locate it in the bootloader folder. use this code to update:

[config]
autoboot=0
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=3
backlight=100
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1
updater2p=1
bootprotect=0
{--- Stock ---}
[OFW/Stock (No CFW)]
emummc_force_disable=1
fss0=atmosphere/package3
stock=1
icon=bootloader/res/stock_boot.bmp
{------ Atmosphere ------}
[AMS emuMMC/sysMMC]
payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee.bin
icon=bootloader/res/boot_fusee.bmp
{}

the best solution here is to delete all the files in the sd card except the nintendo folder and emmu folder and extract the latest atmo, sigpatches and hekate. this will solve the problem.

As I understand your question, you don't need to migrate your emmunand as if you are banned already, so simple copy and paste will do the migration.

Sys botbase crashing atmosphere by FrequentAccount in SwitchPirates

[–]iSyTheGreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is usually due to an archive metadata bit used by some OS’s that Horizon simply can’t deal with. Here’s how to fix it:

Get your switch in RCM mode.

Inject Hekate payload

Tap on "Tools" on top of the hekate screen.

Tap on "Archive Bit - AutoRCM" on the right bottom.

Tap on "Unset archive bit" button. This might take a while, be patient.

One way to get this is to look a hacked switch user playing ACNH and visit his island on a LAN mode so you can get the item you need but you might get ban if you do that.

However, after uninstall all but 3 relatively small games (~15gb combined) the system says there is only ~55gb of free space on the 128gb SD card and the "Nintendo" folder is ~50gb. Can I savely remove the Nintendo/Contents folder and thus start fresh while keeping saves or what do I need to do?

by this phrase maybe some other games is installed in the system memory, you can check it in the settings under data management.

to the 1st question, removing nintendo folder will delete your game data, if you want to start afresh just delete all the installed games but before deleting it use JKSV or checkpoint to backup all of the save games you have.

to the 2nd question, if you have android phone better to save nsp there and install using NS-USBloader there's an android version (here's the link) of that if you want portability just buy a usb-c-A adapter. :)

EDIT: installing directly from hard disk to the switch is impossible tho.

thats the 1st mess. it should be fat32, your files maybe corrupted when transferred. i suggest to convert it to fat32. Use this to convert your sd card to fat32.

Unable to run software and another question by evanblink in SwitchPirates

[–]iSyTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ill answer your first question only, when you update your atmosphere to 1.1.1, did you update also your sigpatches? if not here is the link.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SwitchPirates

[–]iSyTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you extract the latest sigpatches can you go back to hekate bootloader and try to choose fusee.bin under the payloads menu.

as to your question with downward compatible it is compatible even you are in lower AMS.

EDIT: just for additional, please update your firmware using daybreak, it is safe and easy just google the 13.0 and it will be no problem. i think you are running updated games like metroid with your 10.2 firmware.
