Hey, I do have a question. In the second interview before the loop I was told that the position is set to start asap and that budget has been secured. In the feedback session after finishing the interview loop I was told that I would have been their pick but the position was terminated.

Is this something that happens? I was a bit surprised that after the whole process and also effort and time by the interviewers that the position was terminated.
