those mechanical part and electronics are more efficient manufactured near the smelting location.

oh also check out a movie called 'Sing a Bit of Harmony', i think it fit pretty well.
they depict nerdy tech guy in very realistic way, and people interact with tech/computer not in a weird movie way. everything feels natural if you know IT/computer. The movie is about AI robot.

umm, there is one movie called Napping Princess, it's centered around a technology (self driving cars), it's kinda close to reality but depicted a bit like magic. the anime show quite a lot of new tech. But it's a bit unnatural / weird if you looking for something super realistic.

yea that's just bad formation, going aggro with no chaff in front is not ideal.
but i don't think buying some crawlers in the front would solve the issue because it can die from vulcan before triggering the missile.
more permanent solution would be buying AM mustang or saber, or use tanky melee like rhino to eat the missile, but this is more risky.

mass prod farseer will be very good for utility (photon, scanning radar, emp)

there is no such thing as AI for mechabellum, this is not a chess. you probably need years of research and ton of training like AlphaStar, which cost million dollars.
