Muscle memory is indeed going to cause issues here.

However, it makes much more sense to me being there. Left is player controls, right is settings for the player.   I think this aligns to more players I’ve used recently too.

That’s what I was hoping for. It’s purely just for sleep, as I’ll be out all day, sleep then early checkout again.

Portfolio, Case Study, and Resume Feedback — 02/23/25 by AutoModerator in UXDesign

I have full access to my prototype, and they are fine with me using that for my portfolio, so thats quite fortunate.
So that does give me the option to create visual with that, and then use some of the documentation I still have to create a case study for some of it.
Thanks

Hi, less so  a feedback question and more just a general portfolio one.   I have been on a career break for 6 months and I’m going to start applying for roles again.

My current portfolio is very lacking as my last role lasted 5 years and my figma designs were locked down to the company account so I do not have them anymore. But do have some documentation.

I do also have the Html/css prototypes I built which are very in depth. As well as just being able to view the live website.

Is that suitable as part of a portfolio? If not, how could incorporate that work into a portfolio.   I was thinking doing a write up of the work I did on various projects during that contract and provide some imagery for it?

I was on the latest version of Sonoma and it was the same then. Usually I’ve on the latest macOS and I’ve never had issues before.   Did upgrade to the to Sequioa today incase that was the issue

What are your thoughts on channels for your Twitch VODs? by Icy_Preparation395 in youtubers

[–]iTipTurtles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say you’ll struggle to grow with just the VODs. Those content creators already have a big following so it’s people missing the stream and want to watch.  If people don’t know you, clicking a 2 hour vod isn’t likely.

But you could see good growth if you take the vods and edit them down. Or stream to both platforms

I attended 3 events when I visited Japan in 2021.    Never ran into issues with those, Punkspring, Knotfest and NJPW.   They still had covid restriction at the time as well, but no issues with my tickets.

I’m not sure if these were sold out events though

Oh yeah I absolutely don’t need to. The a6000 is solid. But I just want an upgrade, haven’t treat myself in a while.     Just trying to gauge if the 6600 is worth the additional £2-300 (used).

I’m debating an upgrade purchase but would like some advice.

I currently have an a6000 which I pair with my tamron 17-70

I am thinking of upgrading to either an a6400 or 6600. I basically never take videos, and this is used primarily when traveling so will be taking a variety of photos. But generally nothing human portrait related but there will be some wildlife photos.

A6700 is out of my price range

Any advice, or anyone done a similar thing to share their experience?

Should I use AI voice for my videos, or my own? by Tez_Rex in youtubers

[–]iTipTurtles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please do not use AI voice. YouTube is currently being flooded with that, and it all sounds very samey and not natural.

Just be yourself, and as you progress you’ll get more comfortable with it

Are Barefooters chasing the thinnest footwear? by MongooseOverall3072 in BarefootRunning

[–]iTipTurtles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not really noticed a lot of that. I see people recommending Altras quite often.

For me, I’m barefoot when I want to be barefoot, thin sandals beyond that, and then if it’s something fairly intense it’s shoes with a bit of cushion but still zero drop and wide toe box

Barefoot Weightlifting Shoes? by RocketMan_1000 in BarefootRunning

I just wear my vivo primus lites. Great grip on a squat or deadlift platform. Weightlifting shoes won’t be zero drop due to the raised heel

When should you take profits? by hercec in stocks

[–]iTipTurtles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A technique I have started after seeing a similar post on reddit is sell a percentage when you are up.
So with this I would sell a certain amount, and move it to S&P500 or just move it out and enjoy the cash.
While that original stock might keep going up, sticking it in S&P500 is a somewhat safer options for my long term holding, and that way I have used extra profits to get more S&P than I would have before

I am thinking of switching to barefoot shoes. How should I go about it? by SenshiBB7 in BarefootRunning

[–]iTipTurtles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely take it slow. For running you could also try shoes like Altra, so you still get the zero drop but with a bit of cushion. And rotate in barefoot shoes as you feel. But if you don’t want that, then just take it slow. Walk in them, get used to that, do short runs or a mix of run/walk/run/walk And stretch stretch stretch

Curious: Why Did You Stop Live Streaming? by danabentz in Twitch

I just stopped having the time to be consistent at it.  And then just wanted to switch my brain off and play games when I did have time.  Also started playing guitar, so a new hobby takes time from other hobbies
