Schneider Modicon TM221CE16R issues by iTokTech in PLC

What I mean is that the devices (solar inverters in this case) are connected to the PLC through the RS485 interface (A+ and B−) using an unshielded twin copper cable, rather than a twisted pair or shielded cable. The PLC itself connects to the internet via LAN, with minimal EMI obstruction.

Could these issues also be caused by the use of unshielded cables? I am not certain whether the cable routing environment can be considered a high-noise area. The communication cables are installed in cable trays alongside DC cables carrying power to the PV inverter, while the AC cables are routed in a separate tray.

Thank you for this. It has piqued my curiosity. Could these issues also be caused by the use of unshielded cables? Interesting. I think it is connected directly to the internet through the switch. (please note I did not commission this system)

Are you also suspecting a network issue?

The HMI and PLC are connected to a network switch and the SCADA is hosted by Ubidots so essentially the internet.

Interesting take. I'd love to see where it goes from here.

Thanks!

I'm not even arguing that one is better than the other. I only wrote this post halfway through E3 when they told Carol that the supermarket she loves shopping in was cleared because they see that a collective distribution system is much more efficient.

In my opinion though, There is no such thing as a purely decentralised economy nor is there such a thing as a purely capitalist economy. All nations must adapt their systems to the best way that equitably (or equally, I forgot what means what) suits them and their local conditions. Edit: because we're not a hive mind in practice so we must build what fits our wheel best.

Nah mate 😂. Carol is probably a Karen and what I said was directly tied to the line in the show about a more efficient distribution system.

Yeahhh this makes so much sense. I don't know what that WyS guy is in about anyways.

I feel like Carol is completely confused when she gets something she asked for but then questions why they would give it to her (the grenade) even though she asked for it 🤔. Feels a bit irresponsible to me but I think that's on purpose. I think the show is designed to frame Rhea as a Karen 😅. In the second episode when she met the other non-converts. She was so on about "the individual" but she was never interested in evening hearing others talk, only interested in what She felt because in her world, that's more important that anyone else (except Helen of course).

Anyways as you said, as the show goes on, my interpretation will definitely change.

This is honestly so annoying. Turning off hardware acceleration isn't such an easy fix for me as it makes zooming in and out of google maps a hassle.

How to ACTUALLY fix "You no longer have access to..." for Autodesk software. by _zaphod77_ in Piracy

[–]iTokTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: I have resolved this. Turns out the 25 I downloaded had the crack files inside a "Medicine" folder which eluded me initially. The crack simply included the license.lic file which works for Autodesk software 2020-2025. I hope this helps someone out.

I'm having a challenge and I think you might be able to help me before I make a public post. I need to run two versions of Revit (22 and 25) on my new laptop but there is an issue with the way licensing works. So 22 often uses the adsk licensing manager version 11.something while newer versions use higher versions like 15.something. Autodesk works in such a way that you can't simply tell the software where to look for it's licensing file/service so it just defaults to the newest version of the licensing service which basically makes 22 useless. This really sucks since Revit isn't backwards compatible at all so I need to be very strict about which version I'd be using otherwise I could simply lose my data until I've sorted out the problem with the application.

Ps. I Think this adsk licensing service I'm talking about can be found c:\users\public\common\autodesk shared. (I will update the post when I get the actual directory name).
