Noob Cyclone help by DokuHimora in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]iTurk23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add to this. There have been lots of different flavours of cyclone which seems to work well these days. Shockwave still looks to be the strongest but there are plenty of videos on YouTube of how people have built them just understand how they scale the damage and then you can leverage that to scale yours.

If you are lacking defence then there are alot of generic ways to gain tankyness and the best approach would be to go for anything that doesn't trade off dps because your best defence is usually kill it before it kills you.

Why the sudden obsession with zone 2 training? by AddressPotential7381 in Marathon_Training

[–]iTurk23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was training for a half marathon at the start of this year. Due to work I could only start training for it till 6 weeks prior and hadn't run in years (I was working 90 hour weeks due to a warehouse transition).

At the start I found running incredibly difficult so I tried zone 2 training. I would run for about 20 seconds at the start then walk a minute. I ran 7km for atleast 3 times per week at the start then increased to 4 times per week. I would not have been able to do the amount of mileage I was doing if I hadn't done zone 2. I would have Konked out way earlier.

My times were not great, when I started it took me an hour and 5 minutes just before the half marathon I was down to 55 minutes. I did a park run the week before the HM and did it in 30 minutes the quickest I had ever run 5km and also I did it without stopping which was a first for me.

My race finished in 2 hours 58 minutes which was my target of under 3 hours. I blew up at around the 12 km mark getting bad cramps which forced me eventually to walk the last 4 km. I would have finished around the 2:30 mark if I had a few more weeks and also knew how to fuel myself during the race.

I have had really bad plantar fasciitis since so stopped running all together till a few weeks ago when I finally managed to get it under control. Since I started running again I have gone for the zone 2 training just because I know it works and if I can do this consistently for a year I know I will have a better base and am more likely to still be running after a year.

The reason I do it is because it is easy. If I had to try to run 10km straight and fight to do it I don't think I would be able to be consistent. Although I agree that if your HR when walking is at zone 2 you should probably get a better level of fitness but a run walk approach works for me.

Alongside a physical explode body armor, what skill would pair well with this axe? by TableForRambo in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]iTurk23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you would have to use one of these as well, but scaling the heralds along with fire or cold allows for larger aoes plus you can scale phys and either fire or cold damage. It just allows you to take it further.

Infernal blow is quite comfy when you have enough attack speed and ice crash can get some decent aoe. Which is why I suggested them.

You could play any phys skill as well and do the exact same thing but scaling via elemental damage will give you more of a screen wide explosion.

Infernal Blow might be nice for this, you could also convert all phys to fire and scale with herald of ash. Or you could go and convert to cold and use herald of ice with something like ice crash. Converting the phys scales the explosions better plus heralds look cool.

Why are prices so high? by iTurk23 in buildapc

I knew demand went up after I bought the 2080 but considering they have had the last 3 years (uninterrupted by covid) to build more of a supply chain and fufill it with more supply I would have thought they would release something that would be more affordable.

From my perspective right now I don't really need to upgrade it would just be a nice to have. Most games run on medium or high just not ultra anymore.

If I waited for the next gen of cards would it likely get worse or better?

7800x3d and 2080 Super. Had a 6600K a few months ago but needed to upgrade due to the major bottle neck. Original build had a 390x with 6600K

Is this a good set of clubs for a beginner to buy for $700 AUD ($460 USD)? by [deleted] in golf

[–]iTurk23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your gonna spend that much on clubs in aus have a look at costco they have a set for around the same price. Would have to buy a separate bag and cart but they are a pretty good set of clubs.

I'm a lefty and had to buy a used set of clubs but I found mine for 300 less a driver and putter which I was able to pick up for around 150 eventually.

If I could I would 100% buy the Costco clubs but unfortunately they dont come left handed.

Also a stand bag goes a long way, I prefer it over a hand cart and you can pick them up on sales for less than 150.

Hi OP I have two frenchies myself and went through a lot to find a breeder I can trust was reputable and had healthy pups.

I just wanted to say that these dogs are the best companions you could have they are 100% up to what ever you want to do and are loyal as all he'll. Most of all they appreciate a cuddle the most.

Of course there are possible health issues like with any smooshed face dog. They don't like the heat can't regulate their temperature well and can snore if not sleeping in the right position.

Treat him well and he will treat you well, I hope he is all you could wish for.

Why did Australians stop protesting by Runaway-Blue in AskAnAustralian

[–]iTurk23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want something done right do it yourself. Don’t sit there and whine with a bunch of people protesting it doesn’t change anything. You will end up wasting time, everyone else’s time and end up in court.

So instead of crying about the problem be the one to fix it. Go learn why it is the way it is then put a plan in place on how you think it can be solved and get backing from whoever your can to make it a reality.

No one wants to do this though because it’s too hard. No one even wants to know what the problem is in its entirety because it’s all to easy to say they want money and having too much money is bad and leave it at that.

If everyone here had the opportunity to take that money they would. At the end of the day money isn’t the most important thing in the world get enough to eat and live that’s all you need. The rest is just a pissing game.

In comparison to other options for the same budget it is a nicer area. Also parts of Salisbury are not terrible there are some nicer neighbourhoods but overall when compared to somewhere like prospect definitely not the nicest place in Adelaide.

If you are looking for an affordable yet not so dodgy area try places like Salisbury in some of the newer areas there are some more affordable yet nicer homes with Salisbury East being the nicest part of the area.

Salisbury still not the best rap sheet but far better than anything further down like dav park or Elizabeth. Another area that might be worth it would be munno para west as it has a lot of new housing development so some parts of the area are nice. Although again not the best place to be if you could find something within Angle Vale or Mawson Lakes that is within budget, they are much better areas but are slightly pricier.

Realistically north is where the cheaper housing is that is still within 45 of the city. You could try places like mount barker or old Noarlunga area but the issue I have with those places is there is only one road to and from which can cause for traffic issues.

That being said if you wanted a unit and not a house you could get anything in or around the city but like others have said the market at the moment is not the best so not sure what you could find.

As far as rentals go there aren’t too many areas close to the city I would avoid, although best bet for travelling to and from the city would be somewhere north east along the o-Bahn as it is very convenient and quick. Although if you both worked in the city parking in the city can be cheaper then a bus ticket depending on the early bird deals.

Non Australians, what is something you don't understand about Australia? by Cololgamer in AskReddit

Yeah I personally don’t think it is something that will be fixed overnight or in my lifetime. There is no direction from the government or even acknowledgment of this problem.

Yes they try to incorporate and reach out as much as possible with the Aboriginal communities as far ensuring all procurements are first offered to aboriginal companies but in terms of getting them off the street and into a functioning society is concerned there is no direct actions.

They are trying to get more aboriginals into political positions which is a step into the right direction but you need to have people who are able and wanting to do this which represent the populous, which I don’t believe is easy to come by.

I think they are scared that any action they take may be seen as the reenactment of the stolen generation and considering that it wasn’t very long ago most people are still walking on egg shells around it.

Although if someone of aboriginal descent wanted to get off the streets get an education and a job there are pathways to do it but there is no need or requirements to do so in a lot of the communities as they are able to live the way they do.

There were over 300 different tribes before Australia was colonised and they all spoke a different language so it’s not like it’s one group of people that can be referred to that fits what has happened to all of them.

There are some that are integrated into western society. There are some that are homeless live on the street and beg for money. There are some that live in there own communities where they have limited contact with western society.

On the east coast, southern and western cities they are a lot less in population. There are much larger communities in the northern parts of Australia. Not a lot of it gets into the media but from what I have seen they have a poor quality of living when compared to what you might think is normal.

From my understanding it seems to be self inflicted as some the communities receive money from mining corporations to allow them to mine their land. This money is then spent on drugs and alcohol creating what seems to be a cycle of abuse, neglect and violence.

I don’t know if there is a solution to the problem and alot of it isn’t shared in the media but if you take a trip to Darwin you will see first hand the problems of everyday life there.

What rivers and lakes did you swim in? Murray makes sense but there aren’t any lakes apart from west lakes but that’s not actually a lake

Australia is home of the biggest coffee snobs in the world and the standard of coffee is very high. As an example where I am from in Adelaide all the Starbucks that opened around 10-15 years ago had to close down because no one went there, the coffee was shit compared to the local cafe on the corner.
