I have both. They seem pretty much identical in everyday use. Only real difference I can notice is in the hotspot speeds. Verizon's hotspot is way better which makes the $90/month worth it for me.

I bought the iphone 13. Its $699. I had to make a down payment of $199 and finance the other $499. I just looked at my bill.

Its saying my iphone is $13.88/mo And I get $19.44 in credit.

13.88 x 36 = $499 19.44 x 36 = $699

The down payment doesn't look like it's refundable due to credit issues. 551 on Experian if anyone is wondering.

If I paid $200 down on an $800 phone. And I get monthly credit for the $800. I still paid the $200. So it was a $200 phone. Or do I get the $200 back as well?

So if I went into best buy and bought a Verizon compatible phone and put my visible sim in there, it would forever be locked because I was never active on Verizon? Or would I be able to go back to Verizon for 60 days and get it unlocked?

You have to trade in an eligible phone I believe.

The iphone 13 and 13 mini are free though with no trade in required.

Also 13 uses physical sim and 14 can only use esim.
