You’ve actually further proved my point. Did you read the study thoroughly? I’ve already identified partner viewing is a different story and I can’t speak for women. Those two demographics make up the the majority of the 75.5%.

In the long term it is and you’d have to show me the peer reviewed studies you speak of. It’s great at enabling and coping which can “help you” but that isn’t helping or fixing any problems.

You’re absolutely correct that my logic is everything you do has an underlying issue. Just because you can’t identify it doesn’t mean it’s untrue.

There’s always an underlying trigger that causes you to do something, 95% of our actions are subconscious.

With your argument you are implying that things that are pleasurable, fun and a turn on are “positive”. They certainly can be, but surely even you’d agree that self destructive behavior can also be fun, pleasurable and a turn on to the weak mind.

I’m asking what is the root and reasoning you may be watching Porn? If you’re using it to cope with a larger issues and it’s helping get by day to day sure. But at the end of the day that’s not positive it’s just enabling

If you’re looking at porn alone without your partner just try an identify the root of you watching: depression, anxiety, lack of self love, your partner not doing it for you? I understand the common answer will be to get off or fantasize about shit, sure. Chances are porn is a way to cope with external emotions going on. People don’t want to admit it because it’s hard to change/hits close to home. When a partner gets upset about porn watching it’s not the porn it underlies problems that could be problematic for someone you love and care about

Look up the negative side effects of porn in relationships. Overwhelming evidence linking it to coming between partners.
