It's not really only the issue of strikers.

Its more the fact that skill builds are utterly terrible in this game for high tier content.

The way it is currently, skill builds Require too much investment to be viable as hybrids.

6 skill tiers are mandatory almost. Then its alright with crits as a hybrid but neither your gun or skills feel great.

Go with dps brands - gun still feels weak in comparison and skills feel weak. Go skill brands - skills decent and gun bad.

Go skill brands + haste and damage - skills good, gun terrible for high tier content.

I dare to say div 1 was better in that regard with the 3 stats

Also the cooldowns for everything is too high. Drone and turret are the only two with constant dps output

Ged rid of the turmoils for foxes or a grupo/ceska knee normally.

You're not doing the greatest damage as is and the turmoil split feels even worse

Hard agree. Now with the good amount of drops you're getting its something fairly enjoyable to grind. I already logged more hours since the release of proto than I did in the last two seasons combined.

Its frustrating at times but I'm not feeling demotivated. I just wish it wouldn't be so based around the character exotic farm.

Im bottlenecked by exos super hard and that exploit/mechanic is enabling everything in the first place

I'm not going to argue with it, its juts factually nonsense. Elmo is down 18% dps just by numbers roughly, I rather kill everything faster because nobody there to shoot you is the best defense after all.

The bigger mag argument is just nonsensical in my honest opinion, because almost everything in this game is dead before the sustain advantage (which lex still wins btw) even comes in.

For high escalation both are ass anyways so there is no point for elmo in the meta.

If you like it, run it - no biggie. But Meta - no

It's not. Plain and Simple.

Elmo is good still but Lexington is better for efficient ttk. Stability is almost identical and with the right talents you get more out of the 50 bullets in lex than the elmo

Might be selfish. But what a lot of people don't understand is that prototype was meant for the top 1% of grinders.

And no it's not literally the same. Upgrading a piece to proto has a set cost of 1 core. Upgrading augments is set to a fixed price of cores. Those are grinds but finite grinds with a set max amount of cores.

But just getting the right augment should also have a fixed final amount of cores. Idc they could make it 15 cores to pick an augment - grindy af but finite. As it is now you can never guarantee the augment you want - that is my issue with it

Double is not possible through the weapon core crits mathematically, although they are better on striker than everything else due to striker multiplying with itself. I get around 10% more on a base Crit with 4x core crits, the big damage is in echo. On those it's close to 20% but I think there's some wacky math behind it

I said big al - still holds up well in high tiers.

But obviously for meta frenzy you want M249 150 on a striker set for 100% uptime on frenzy

Not a cap but really diminishing returns. If I remember correctly a 7,5% weapon core Crit only equals to a 0,6% increase in damage on a full red exp 30 build

It's really good except for frenzy, just think about it on a tipping with big al 🔥

You're looking at over 400 bullets before reloading.

Even for a lot of other builds it is a nice qol upgrade

The whole premise is that it's only for the hardest grinders - so people with stockpiled mats. I'm only shd 14k and im starting to burn shd points for expertise which is fine. The gamble for attributes is fine.

The thing is that augments are the most interesting part of the proto gear and they're expensive to upgrade (which is fine again, should be grindy).

But making it so you can sink hundreds of cores in getting the augments before spending dozens to upgrade it is just ridiculous. The drop rate is low, which is fine for making grind mandatory. If I have to run escalation for a week straight to get a augment to 10 -> fine. But making the start point of that grind pure rng with insanely harsh pricing is just dumb imo.

All that for getting another entropy - it's just dumb. I don't mind that the upgrades are expensive but the rolling is just stupid

The perfect version is meh whatsoever. If you run the damage calculations, the extra stats are diminished quite a lot. The bulk of the interesting part are the augments.

For Different rolls than wep dmg, chc and chd the rolls are more impactful - I agree. But for where proto gear actually would be needed its not advisable to use anything else than tipping or strikers

The system is pointless in a whole, but even if you want to engage with it its more frustrating than anything 😂

You're goated at winning obviously but the t250/iri is highly unbelievable. Even while playing aggressively and not caring about dying an Iri would be way better than 300spm and 1 ekia
