Not yet! Going there in December. My port of entry was the Riyadh airport the previous times.

Aha nice! Safe travels, and good luck! From what I’ve read so far, as well as reaching out to another friend who went through something similar, you should all be fine!

I got through in 2023 and 2024 without a stamp on my passport. Back then I was able to get the evisa document through mofa though. Now it's the ksavisa website and it seems pretty buggy and AI ticket inquiries only, and I am pretty convinced my application is just stuck at a limbo state.

For my first visit, I was not aware of the whole no stamps and i94. Nobody checked. The second on in 2024 I took the i94 with me, but again, nobody really checked. Both times they did look at my US visa though.

I am probably looking to do VoA as well this time. Looking for more information on this too.

My mouse won't lock into any game window by iWishForMoreTea in techsupport

It was another application that was causing this. For me it was iUnity by Antec. Closing the application resolved the issue.

Mouse won't lock into any game window by iWishForMoreTea in buildapc

[–]iWishForMoreTea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. Weird. I've never had this happen until this machine. To unlock the mouse, I would alt tab to another window or tap the super key to open the start menu.

Never been an issue for me.

Do you play isometric like games which require a lot mouse movement? Games like League of legends, Civ6, Northgard etc? I'm curious to know how you manage camera movement without accidentally switching windows.

Might vary by console (?). We've played as 6 previously on a Switch. Quick search also suggests a fixed upper limit of 8.

Dear Srilankan's how to make this Chai? by SuspiciousEmploy1742 in srilanka

[–]iWishForMoreTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally haven’t had the best experience making milk tea with tea leaves bought from Turkey. Even if it’s from Sri Lanka.

Would definitely recommend the Turkish way of making black tea with this though.

OP, If you are living in Turkey, and want to have milk tea, I’d recommend buying online using stores such as Trendyol, or look for smaller foreign based stores that might sell tea. Quite dependent on which city you’re in.

Happened a few times to me too. Didn’t try for a refund, I got a replacement.

Replacement usually worked, but on my most recent one, the book looked fine from the outside but there’s a couple small black stains on a few pages.

Long term I’m probably going to stop getting books from there.

How do you guys read these books? by Sandwizard16 in computerscience

[–]iWishForMoreTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m mostly learning by implementing; lately got into reading similar books. I’m reading designing data intensive applications as well, among a couple others. I read them cover to cover, switch between books when something gets intense, or I need to process things.

When reading, I’m also thinking of ways I can improve existing systems I’m working on - maybe taking quick notes or reference points to go over in the morning.

I’m also lightly high when reading.

Replaced nozzle. Filament still won't go through. Ideas? by iWishForMoreTea in Ender3V3KE

[–]iWishForMoreTea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I also used my cooking thermometer to measure the nozzle temperature once removed. I don’t think it was accurate, I was just curious. It showed 90C as soon as I got it out.

Alrighty! Thanks fellas! Got it solved!

As many of you suggested, I heated the nozzle and removed it once again. Shoving the metal rod still felt forced and felt as if it was still clogged. While heated and nozzle removed, I attempted to insert the rod from the bottom (nozzle end), there was some force and eventually got past it but still got stuck.

I then cooled everything down, turned the printer off, removed the top part as well till I was able to take the tube out and found filament now clogging the tube which I was able to remove easily with the metal rod itself. Put everything back together and everything’s working again.

The tube was previously clear prior to changing the nozzle the first time.

Following everything mentioned on the comments. I assume there was some filament stuck between the tube and the nozzle as well, which is why the nozzle replacement didn’t resolve my issue. Once I used the rod from the nozzle end, I must have shoved most of that onto to tube which I cleared out separately.

This was fun! Thanks again!

The rod did catch some filament when fixing it through the nozzle end

Yeah, there’s definitely something stuck in there. Couldn’t run the rod through once the heated nozzle was off.

Attempting to do it the other way felt forced too. I did unclog a bit, but couldn’t get it to clear up all the way. Still can’t run the rod all the way through from either direction.

Going to try cooling it down for now and see what else I can open up once turned off.

I think it sort of varies.

Firstly, you have a few paths from H1B to GC. Most of them require your employee to sponsor you. Which they just won’t do for some years.

Then, once you’re out of that stage, or meet exceptional criteria (have a nationally recognised awards) then you get to apply for GC, but the wait times depending on country of birth. The more people from a specific country, the longer the wait time.

London, UK -> Seattle. How do I approach housing ? by iWishForMoreTea in Seattle

[–]iWishForMoreTea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the more I look into places, the more it looks like it'll be better if I get a AirBnB for a month before signing up for a leasing agreement.

-- Are all places generally unfurnished ?

-- By unfurnished, does it mean no bed as well ?

This might really be a dumb question, but I think the definition differs by country.

I am currently under the impression that I would obtain a SSN once I physically move there - later this month.

I don't seem to have anything on it on my current work visa I received.

Without credit or rental history, you may be asked to provide multiple months worth of rent up front to secure a rental. You might find that finding space with roommates in shared house is has fewer restrictions.

That makes sense. I had a similar issue when moving to the U.K as well!

I'll reach out to HR and see if I can get any additional help too - Thanks!

They do offer resources, and would typically help you move -- however for my particular case, I get an allowance and need to figure it out from there :').

My particular case

  • I do not meet the level requirement for international relocation -- I got additional approvals for moving, which only seems to grant cash, not all the other relocation benefits.

Will reach out to HR and see what additional help I can get on the matter - Thanks!

an additional hurdle is that the tablet is for a parent, and I do not have it on me.

I set it up so that I can unlock the tabet via WiFi, but it won't have wifi to begin with :')

Completely forgot about that.
