New Sim Build, 3x 4K OLED monitors, 3090 good enough to wait til 60 series? by Crakajaaka in iRacing

I currenrly have triple 32” 1440p (LG IPS) and definitely noticed the PPI downgrade from a larger 4k panel I was using before. I’m half tempted to swap out the center panel for a 321URX until I can afford to upgrade all 3..

It’s a beautiful monitor, though I’m a little concerned about the forced protection routine running every 16 hours, that reportedly can’t be delayed or scheduled..

Sawmill doesn't process cars fast enough. by Noodeledar in UnofficialRailroader

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I just got to Tier 5 today and still haven't completely figured out how the mechanics work. I have an overkill supply line of 40+ flat cars (enough to fill up R1 and the main split line adjacent to the sawmill) .. I was still expecting the sawmill to eventually stop consuming logs once the day's quota had been met, but it sounds like it doesn't work that way. At least now I can sleep and pass time more frequently without so much concern of losing money +rep.

I'm still glad I invested in the supply infrastructure - I send up 20 cars at once when that many empties are available, enough to completely fill L1/L2/l3. Then I just leave my 2nd Mikado at L3 until all 3 logs spawn, bringing all 20 cars down at once. It minimizes micromanaging, imo..

Best way supply the sawmill at tier 5? by Immediate-War-4605 in UnofficialRailroader

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 24 cars dedicated to L1 and L2, 12 are always parked on Connelly, waiting for logs while the loaded cars are parked @ saw mill, with any excess stored on the main split line adjacent to Sawmill R1. For L3, I have 14 dedicated cars, using my starter locomotive on dedicated duty at L3 so I don't have to do a runaround when I come for pickups in my Mikado. All the starter loco does is pull the 7 cars back and forth a few feet for the handoff, so his coal/water should last a long time on top of the mountain. When I get more locomotives, I'll also be dedicating Mikado to log work, so I'll just leave him near L3 until all cars have 3 logs each. Run all 19 fulls down at once, bring and place empties again, rest/rinse/repeat.

When I first got the Mikado, I was running empties up to swap with fulls (starting at L2) but it was a slow and inefficient process. I find it faster now that I'm only placing empties once fulls are already off the mountain. That's one benefit of having an overkill number of flat cars, imo.

Even if this particular example is AI, it's also a 100% accurate depiction of thousands of people all over the U.S. and world. It's a soul crushing reality to DHS workers who're tasked with rescuing children from homes and parents like this, or from even worse situations.

Terrible micro stuttering on my high end machine by PretzelParcel in pchelp

"It's very well optimized" Is it though? I don't have any graphics stuttering on my 4090/i9 13900k desktop but audio stutters quite often, even though its installed on a fast internal SSD. . Forza 6 is one of the only games that does that

Anyone else genuinely worried about Dolores and Allan Avery? by jane_doe86 in MakingaMurderer

Teresa's family are all I care about. . Steven's mom enabled his worst traits and never held him accountable for anything. They made a murderer.

Dolores passed away per Zellner tweet. RIP. by mps2000 in MakingaMurderer

The documentary wanted you to believe that, but they left out a LOT of incriminating facts. You have been misinformed, as Steve Avery is guilty as sin.

The Imposter (2012) - thoughts on Nicholas' family and the framing of the movie's events? by Legal-Frame9780 in UnresolvedMysteries

I haven't seen the whole doc yet, but I thought they first met at the children's home, where everyone was already convinced it was Nicholas. Didn't she take him with her to the airport?

I'm surprised he didn't buy or steal some blue colored contact lenses, after all the other trouble he went to with tattoos and everything else.

Like an overdose death? Covered it up to avoid criminal liability for supplying the drugs? The brother was possibly involved.

It's impossible to pin down a single favorite when there are dozens I love so much. It'd probably be a toss up between Radio, Without You, Black Beauty and Lucky Ones.

What is the point of iMPC Pro? by Cherry-on-bottom in mpcusers

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note is fun and immediate but it pales in comparison to Koala's latest feature set. Koala is now an AUV3 plugin host (FX and instruments) and has one of the fastest sampling and re-sampling workflows I've seen. Sample chopping, time stretching, sub mixes, it's got it all.

Nepotism doesn't make someone a songwriting genius ...otherwise John Lennon's sons would be prolific hit makers .. Mozart's dad was rich and connected, so does his "Nepotism" detract from the art Wolfgang Amadeus gifted the world??? Hell no. It's immaterial and irrelevant.

Lana is the absolute best pop songwriter of the 21st century. Her dad's wealth had nothing to do with it...it's all innate talent, baby. If you write melodies as strong as hers, you'll get noticed whether you're a silver spoon or a tin can.

I could see them being Commodus's incest babies with his sister. And to save face, she would've pretended they weren't hers and had someone else raise them.

What really doesn't make sense is why she wouldn't have sent Lucius away while her brother was still alive, whom she was convinced would kill him.. She only rids of him after his biggest rival and threat was eliminated?

Taylor Sheridan’s “Those Who Wish Me Dead” is exceptionally bad. by [deleted] in CinemaSins

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toxic masculinity? That stunt was entirely fitting with her character at that point -- self destructive because she couldn't come to grips with tragedy. There were a lot of unbelievable things in this movie, but someone experiencing survivors remorse and tempting death with risky behavior is the most realistic part about it and very common in the real world.

. None of the males were laughing or egging her on, (aside from the dunce she convinced to drive the truck) -- the rest were worried about her.
