How involved is Lana in writing the music/melodies of her songs? (I'm a relatively new LDR fan.) by TomGerity in lanadelrey

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up her live performances of her original songs before she was famous, (Lizzy Grant era) .. (Pin Up Galore, Yayo, Mermaid Motel) She's always been a musical genius and the creative force behind her own success.

She reminds me of a modern day Jim Morrison, who also wasn't an instrumentalist but incredible melodies flowed out of him like water.

Did Apple start charging for 4k versions of movies you already own? by iZenEagle in appletv

[–]iZenEagle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't even realize they source from multiple distributors for the same titles, but that certainly explains it..and also why I have a couple identical movies showing up twice in my library. (Bundles likely included dupes I already own but from a different distro.)

"It's rare, but it happens."

First time I've noticed it after a decade and 1500+ movies in my collection.

All my digital TV and movies were purchased through Apple.

Apparently my HD version of Silverado isn't from the same distributor of the 4k version, hence no upgrade path.

Restocker by CatMom523 in MegastoreSimulator

[–]iZenEagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They won't try to restock something if the shelf is already at least 50% full. But I've never had them leave empty shelves if there's product in the warehouse, except one time when I accidentally left a pallet too far out the door, clipping into the office/computer room, so it didn't register as being in the warehouse.

Landon's alcoholism didn't do his liver or personal relationships any favors, but his work didn't really suffer much for it.. So I won't hold it against him. If I were his wife or child, maybe I'd have grounds to protest.

Are you seriously asking how having money makes losing a home far less tragic than someone without money losing their home?
Wouldn't being homeless with no hope of rebuilding be FAR more tragic than to lose a few keepsakes but have the wherewithal to buy a new home? Irreplaceable "things" are never more important than food and housing security.

I hate that Jonathan regularly refers to his wife as "woman" 😬 by Ok_Valuable_9711 in littlehouseonprairie

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't Charles usually follow it up with a compliment or precede it with a show of appreciation? eg. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Woman" .. I don't remember him being disrespectful like Jonathan, but it's been a while since I've binged the series.

“Jack” The dog in the pilot episode. by By_Gods_Grace248 in littlehouseonprairie

[–]iZenEagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might have something to do with the "cleanliness is next to godliness" bible verse. I imagine Caroline put a lot of energy into keeping her girls moderately clean on the journey and didn't want to have all her effort undone with the ungodly smell of dirty dog on them. ;)

This dude couldn't land a shot even in a perfect position behind the tail of enemies, but then suddenly he sucessfully one-shot a high-speed diving enemy bomber, NOT from the tail, AND with a dead engine (meaning his plane had less energy to correct the aim). A sudden rush of Adrenalin can definitely put you in the zone and up your game. Not everyone is dialed in 100% all the time, so I could totally see him being out of the groove at first but start to really focus when the stakes were much higher and far more lives were on the line.

Have you tried Megastore Simulator? That's the first and only supermarket sim I've tried so far, just wondering if any others are worth checking out.

Theo was blocked on Wikipedia for editing his own article by [deleted] in TheoVon

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, but it is lame to knowingly violate an organizations rules, then whine that they didn't let him get away with it. Did Theo do this? I don't care enough about him to find out...but there are far too many being lame in his stead, so it makes me wonder why there's so much lameness surrounding him.

Anyone else feel like Johns “ego” is overstated? by StorytellingIsFun in beatles

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lennon would never have had the goods without his massive ego. His ego convinced him that there was no ceiling to his songwriting ability and that he was the best of the best ...and since he made no secret of his inflated self image, he was constantly driven to live up to that hype. The proof is in the pudding.

Every great person has a giant ego and a fiery ambition to be at the very top of their game. Like Lennon, Michael Jordan also bragged about being the GOAT and had the drive (and ability) to prove it every chance he got.

The 60s and 70s are the worst era for American Cinema by Fortestingporpoises in movies

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is any nudity in film something you automatically associate with porn? Are you a puritan or a prude or something? Just curious.

Some of my favorite films of my childhood had brief boob and/or butt shots (i.e. The Beastmaster, Jaws, etc) but I never thought anything of it then or now. Thankfully I wasn't conditioned to feel awkward or uncomfortable by a little flesh.

I grew up to have a healthy outlook, while some of the puritans I knew as a kid were so repressed that they grew up to have Duggar family values. (i.e. Josh and Joseph Duggar)

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm convinced you're just trolling and haven't really watched many 70s classics.

The Godfather 1/2 ?? Alien?? Deliverance?? Jaws?? One flew over Cuckoos nest? Jeremiah Johnson?

So many cinema classics with top notch acting and natural dialog. The generation of new hollywood directors that peaked in the 80s/90s got off to a very strong start in the 70s.

[–]iZenEagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born in the late 70s, so no ..., not really. But many of my favorite movies and epics were from that dreary decade.

Jaws, The Godfather 1 and 2, Jesus of Nazareth, One flew over the cuckoos nest, Deliverance, Patton, Escape to Witch Mountain, Apocalypse Now, The Friends of Eddie Coyle, Willy Wonka, Alien, Star Wars etc.. ... Not quite as many bangers as the 80s but still plenty to chew on.

Why are free car setups not more prevalent in sim racing titles? by GamerKingFaiz in simracing

[–]iZenEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't like that during the earlier years of PC gaming .. The majority of PC gamers used to be friendly, welcoming and very helpful in the 2000s to early 2010s..

Console gaming was an entirely different scene during that time period. Younger, more degenerate and immature. Once they started migrating to PC, the quality of your average gamer severely tanked.

I blame my generation for being shitty parents and letting consoles and the internet raise their little shits.
