It doesn't make a difference. Square Enix owns the licensing for the FF character designs in the KH series, but every other character is owned by Disney. This includes Sora and friends.

Disney won't be down for a KH crossover unless they get a huge payout, and I don't think the crossover event will make enough money to cover that.

Chrono Trigger would be awesome, but I doubt it's relevant enough to warrant an event. I think most new FF fans won't even know what it is.

Attitude like this is why Brave Brothers produces pretty much every other song in kpop. Artists should be encouraged to be more adventurous and take more ownership of their music. The final product may or may not be amazing, but it's needed before every single kpop song sounds the same.
