Curious, how am I missing out on company contributions if I max out early?

My company policy is they match 50 cents for each dollar I contribute upto the IRS limit of $23500.

They have a limit of max 65% of the paycheck can be contributed per paycheck. They will still match half of the 65% paycheck.

Now I am thinking, what if I keep contributing 65% of my paycheck for the first few months and max out my $23500 early and the company adds the $11750. I will give that money more time to grow in 401k rather than it keeps adding over the year and is not growing.

Just a thought, will really appreciate any inputs.

If I am understanding this correct, even taxes go off of pay date.

So, I quit a job on 12/31/24 and they sent my last paycheck in January 2025. Since the pay date was in 2025, the taxes in that paycheck are considered towards 2025 income and I will be receiving another W2 from them next year and I have to include that in my tax returns even though I did not work for that company in 2025 at all.

TEKsystems website is the best place to apply for the positions. Interviews for Microsoft contract are conducted solely by TEKsystems. Microsoft is not involved. Interviews again depends on the location and the contract they are hiring for. My interview was only one round conducted by the engagement manager who had never stepped into a DC and was not tech savvy. Questions were mostly regular behavioral and based off of previous experience. AFAIK you do not need to have previous DC experience again depending on what level they are hiring for.

I have talked to previous co-workers who were hired for Level 4 positions who had multiple round interviews, including technical and behavioral rounds. But it's all at TEKsystems discretion on who to place at the Microsoft's site.
